Amazon is seeking a motivated Team Lead for our Middle Mile Sort Center operations in Haryana. You will lead a 30–80+ associate team on your shift, overseeing inbound dock to outbound sortation and driving continuous improvement on the floor.

This hands-on leadership role requires coaching, performance monitoring, and adherence to SOPs, with flexibility for night and weekend rotations as needed.

Qualifications

  • All candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years in a customer-facing environment, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in English (speak, write and read fluently).
  • Willingness to work flexible, rotational shifts including nights, weekends and peak/holiday seasons.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-Shift Planning: review staffing, plan for volume and readiness.
  • Start of Shift: verify headcount and logins, ensure scanning within target times.
  • Shift Operations: drive throughput, monitor quality metrics, manage labor movements and CPT priorities.
  • Safety: conduct audits, enforce PPE standards, lead incident response and safety improvements.
  • People Leadership: floor coaching and real-time feedback to associates.
  • End of Shift & CI: complete handoffs, 5S, and drive defect reduction.

Amazon is seeking a motivated, customer-obsessed Team Lead to join our Middle Mile Sort Center operations. As a Team Lead, you are the frontline leader responsible for managing a team of 30–80+ associates during your assigned shift. You will own the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of sortation operations — from inbound dock management through sortation to outbound dispatch — while developing your team and driving continuous improvement.

This is a hands‑on, floor‑based leadership role. You will spend the majority of your shift on the operations floor, directly engaging with associates, monitoring performance, resolving issues in real time, and ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Shift Planning — Review staffing, attend leadership meeting, complete area readiness checks, and review plan for volume/CPT/bagging plan.
  • Start of Shift — Deliver SOS brief, verify headcount and FCLM/CALM logins within 7 min, ensure associates scanning within 5 min.
  • Shift Operations — Drive TPH across IB/Sort/OB, manage CPT priorities, track quality (FL, RL - NC/NNC, BM, MD and VPM DPMO, scan compliance), monitor TOT hourly, manage labor movements, and handle exceptions.
  • Safety — Conduct audits, enforce PPE/ergonomic standards, drive RIR/LTIR improvement, lead incident response and yard safety.
  • People Leadership — Floor engagement, real-time coaching and feedback to the AA
  • End of Shift & CI — Verify volume handoff, complete area readiness/5S, document shift handover, participate in Kaizens, and drive defect reduction.
Preferred Qualification
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • 1+ years of customer-facing environment, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing experience
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English
  • Willingness to work flexible, rotational shifts including nights, weekends, and peak/holiday seasons
