Job summary

Sanmina-SCI Systems de México in Chennai district is seeking a senior Jig and Fixture Engineer with extensive experience in jigs, fixtures, and tooling for process improvements. The candidate should demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, CAPA ownership and 5S+ in-house optimization.

The role requires leadership in Kaizen events, coordination with suppliers, and hands-on validation, maintenance, and qualification of fixtures to support product evolution and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• Diploma in EEE/ECE/E & I/Mech with more than 15 years experience (or) BE in EEE/ECR/E&I/Mech with more than 12years experience.

Responsibilities

• Jigs and Fixture development, Validation, Qualification and Preventive maintenance.
• Jigs and Fixture coordinate and continuous follow up with supplier for on time delivery.
• Jigs and fixtures in-house modification for product rev change.
• Jigs and fixtures arrangements in the rack and 5S maintaining
• Downtime reduction.
• Co-ordinate with CFT for Process Tooling improvements.
• CAPA need to be provided for tooling process related issues.
• Involve and lead Kaizen, Continuous improvement and Cost saving projects.
• Active participation in EHS related activities like Identification of aspects and Impacts, HIRA, Emergency preparedness, continuous improvements etc and enable to report about hazardous situations to respective supervisor / department managers as required.

4. Knowledge of 8D, 4M, CAPA, Six Sigma problem Solving methodology.
