Job summary

Fynxt is seeking a hands‑on Team Lead Cloud to steer our cloud and platform engineering initiatives in Chennai. The role requires deep Kubernetes production experience and strong leadership to guide architecture, design, and delivery across environments.

You will drive GitOps practices, automate infrastructure with Terraform/OpenTofu and Helm, and mentor engineers while collaborating with security and product teams. Strong SRE and observability fundamentals are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Cloud, Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
• 4+ years of hands-on Kubernetes production experience.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes internals, CRDs, controllers, admission webhooks, scheduling, and resource management.
• Experience with AWS EKS, Azure AKS, or GCP GKE.
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Experience with Helm and/or Kustomize.
• Strong knowledge of GitOps and Argo CD.
• Programming experience in Go or Python.
• Strong Linux, containers, networking, DNS, TLS, ingress, and load-balancing knowledge.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or Datadog.
• Strong understanding of SRE practices, SLOs, incident management, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the Kubernetes platform across development, staging, and production environments.
• Lead cluster lifecycle management, upgrades, capacity planning, multi‑tenancy, and reliability.
• Define technical architecture and create design documents/RFCs for platform solutions.
• Build self‑service platforms and standardized deployment frameworks for engineering teams.
• Drive GitOps, CI/CD, Argo CD, and progressive delivery practices.
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform/OpenTofu, Helm, and Kubernetes‑native tools.
• Define and improve SLOs, monitoring, observability, incident response, and MTTR.
• Implement cloud security practices including RBAC, workload identity, secrets management, network policies, and policy‑as‑code.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure costs through right‑sizing, autoscaling, and resource optimization.
• Mentor platform engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture reviews.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Product Engineering teams.
