SPJIMR SP Jain Institute of Management & Research invites applications for a Teaching Assistant in Social Sciences/ Development Studies. The role involves supporting faculty with course outlines, reading materials, and assessments, while coordinating with the program office to ensure deadlines are met.

You will upload materials on the eKosh platform, help prepare quizzes and exams, handle student inquiries, and support events and workshops.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in course outlines, pre-reads, PPTs and other teaching aids.
• Coordinate between faculty and program office to meet submission deadlines for course materials and assignments.
• Upload course outlines and reading materials on eKosh.
• Create, conduct, evaluate and share scores for quizzes and exams under faculty guidance.
• Assist in handling revaluation requests from participants for quizzes, assignments and end-term papers.
• Handle student queries regarding assignments, end-term, committee work and notes.
• Support design thinking lab activities and attend sessions/workshops.
• Perform ad-hoc academic tasks and assist with other General Management courses as needed.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who can work with our Faculty in Social Sciences/ Development Studies courses. Below are the indicative job responsibilities:

Academic Role:

• Course-related - Assistin preparation of course outlines, pre-reads, ppts, and other teaching aid required by the faculty. Also take informal feedback of the courses.
• Act as a point of contact between faculty and various program office to ensure all deadlines are adhered to regarding submission of course outlines, ordering of pre-reads such as cases, textbooks etc., rollout and submission dates related to assignments
• Uploading the courseoutline and reading material on eKosh
• Examination - Create, Conduct, Evaluate and share scores for quizzes, assignments & exam papers (under guidance from faculty)
• Assist faculty in resolving issuesrelated to the revaluation requests from the participants regarding quizzes, assignments and end term answer papers.
• Student query - Handle studentqueries regarding assignments, end term, committee work, notes, etc.
• Assist in workrelated to the design thinking lab
• Attending sessions and workshops
• Any ad-hoc academic work
• Additionally, the Teaching Associate should be flexible in supporting other courses in General Management (Design Thinking)

Administrative Role:

• Handle classes scheduling for the department faculty (internal & external)
• Assist in conducting events and conferences of the department
• Create virtual links for all sessions and share detailsvia google calendar to faculty and students.
• Uploading timetable and raising purchase orders on ERP
• Provide accreditation-related support
• Attend department-related meetings and briefings
