Job summary

CanKids KidsCan, the National Society for Change For Childhood Cancer In India, seeks an educator to manage teaching protocols for cancer patients in hospital wards, focusing on basic learning, etiquette and hygiene to help children reintegrate into the standard education system after treatment.

You will conduct online classes, design lesson plans, maintain records, and support children with diverse learning needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any stream with Diploma in Education or B.Ed.
• Demonstrated ability to teach children and manage classroom activities.
• Experience in hospital/educational settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Job Description

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

This departmentof education represents education outside of a standard school setting. Formaland Informal Education is the wise, respectful and spontaneous process ofcultivating learning. It works through conversation, and the exploration andenlargement of experience. Informal education has activities with children.They will help the children to learn basic education, etiquettes and hygienefactors.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Manageteaching protocol for cancer patients within wards. Ensure creative, basiclearning, basic etiquettes, hygiene for kids and diverting their mind andhelping them to learn and be happy. Ensure curriculum-based learning is imparted to children in order toensure they are prepared to reintegrate into the standard Education system inIndia after completion of their treatment cycle.

Requirements

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teachingbasic education in the CHSU/ wards/School room in hospitals.
• ConductOnline Classes as per the schedule and maintain the records
• Implementationof face to face PEP program.
• Forming agespecific groups for learning like 3yrs -9yrs, 9yrs-12yrs, 12yrs-above.
• Designingand executing lesson plans that will engage students
• Designingassessments that thoughtfully evaluate student progress
• Varyingteaching strategies and styles to meet different learning needs
• Providing apositive environment to engage students in the learning process
• Establishingand maintaining cooperative working relationships with students, parents,community, and the school team
• Attendingand participating in all organizational training and meetings.
• Making themaware about basic hygiene care and teaching basic etiquettes.
• Counseling kids and establishing acompassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, andspiritual support to kids.
• Advisingthem for further counseling to the senior counselor if they are not ableto understand.
• Makingchildren aware of the Education Scholarship Program, filling up the formfor the same and sending it to HQ.
• Prepare andsubmit the Monthly, Quarterly, Half Yearly and Annual reports.
• Coordinatingtime to time for Education activities.
