Job summary

Airbus India Private Limited is seeking a TD Software Test and Support Engineer to join the Tech Data Support & Services team. You will contribute to testing, validation and support for airnav X ecosystem and related TD products, coordinating with business application owners and engineering teams.

The role requires UAT experience, familiarity with SGML/XML, Agile practices, and SDLC/STLC, and strong communication in English.

Qualifications

• UAT experience is required for test campaigns and validation.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SDLC/STLC processes.
• General IT environment know-how including IT development experience.
• Experience coordinating with Business Application Owners and test teams.
• SGML and XML knowledge relevant to technical data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead User Acceptance Test (UAT) activities with stakeholders.
• Manage test campaigns: dataset availability, test accounts, execution and defect tracking.
• Update and maintain non-regression test scripts as applications evolve.
• Support Business Application Owners and contribute to test strategy and test cases.
• Participate in test and deployment meetings and coordinate with BAO teams.

TD Software Test and Support Engineer

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Within Airbus Customer Services, “Tech Data Support & Services” (SID) is in charge of defining, producing, delivering and supporting the Technical Data (TD) products and services which are necessary for Customers to safely and efficiently operate their aircraft.

Technical Documentation is characterized by large amounts of data, configuration management, direct impact on A/L operability, complexity of the processes and associated tools, complexity and diversity of the aircraft design, multiple interfaces to manage and obtain source data from Engineering or Suppliers. And finally, this is combined with the core competence of Maintenance Operations (how aircraft are maintained by operators).

In this context, airnav X application is the Airbus solution allowing our Customers (internal & external) to browse and manage Airbus Technical Data. Since its Entry Into Service in 2017, the Online version has been complemented with the Intranet and the Standalone versions and it has been enriched with new features to ease the access to the documentation.

Moreover, during the last years, airnav X Ecosystem has been completed with 2 new services: airnav X Full Online and airnav X Editing. With these services, Airbus offers to our Customers advanced features to better manage Airbus documentation: The possibility to attach documents, images or videos in the documentation, to manage more than 2 revisions, to control the access to their documentation by the end users and to add Airline customized data directly in the manuals thanks to the editing function.

airnav X Ecosystem helps our Customers to access the Airbus Technical Data they need in an efficient way allowing them to meet their operational requirements and even to improve their operational reliability.

airnav X is accessed today by more than 50,000 end users per month from Airlines, MROs and other organizations. More than 400 Customers rely on Airbus to access the technical documentation they need to maintain and operate their aircrafts. Now more than ever they are relying on Airbus expertise and support to ensure the business continuity in their operations in the current challenging context.

• The validation of the evolutions and defect management of the airnav X applications in its complete ecosystem (Online, Full Online, Intranet, Standalone, Editing, Offline), and/or GenEWIS application which is the digital solution for the Wiring Data and/or the STDO application which is the platform to access the Supplier data in the frame of the Tech Data deliveries.
• Support the BAO.

He/she would also participate in the support analysis of the above applications.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

• User Acceptance Test (UAT)
• Managing the test activities in coordination with the Business Application Owners and in case by case with other entities: UAT Coordination team, Project Leaders, Product Leaders, to manage:

• Dataset availability for tests campaigns execution
• “Validation environment” test accounts availability when required
• Tests execution (Functional tests and non-regression tests)
• Defects opening and tracking during the test campaign
• Update & maintainability of non-regression test-scripts based application evolution over the time.
• Participation in the relevant meeting along the test and deployment process.

• Support the BAO on the activities:
  • Business Requirements Dossier,
  • Features,
  • Users stories,
  • Contribute to M5 maturity and validate RCS (Request Change Sheet),
  • Prepare the test strategy and test cases.

• Qualified engineer preferably graduate.
