Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an Application Packaging Engineer to design and execute packaging strategies for Windows environments, focusing on App-V 5.1, AdminStudio, and SCCM. The role emphasizes client-facing collaboration, requirements gathering, and smooth deployment of MSI-based packages.

The candidate will work in shifts, support PROD/Regression environments, and contribute to packaging improvements and standards within the IT operations team.

Qualifications

• AdminStudio, App-V 5.1, SCCM, VB Scripting and PowerShell at least intermediate.
• 6–10 years of experience in application packaging.
• Flexible to work in shifts and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides the strategy and design to build a utility for systems programming tasks required for installations, configurations, upgrades and testing of PROD/Regression environments.
• Negotiating, client facing, communication, assertive, team leading/team member skills, supportive.
• Requirements gathering for applications and coordination with Business users.
• Provides detailed analysis of systems software and hardware requirements to determine specifications and customizations for Win10.
• MSI based Re-packaging of applications using Admin Studio packaging software following an established process and workflow.
• Deploying packages using SCCM and sequencing applications using App-V 5.1.
