Job summary

EY in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Techno Functional Expert - Yardi to act as the primary SME for Yardi across finance operations in a large global real estate environment. You will combine strong Yardi functional knowledge with technical admin, reporting, and integration skills to ensure stability, governance, and process improvements.

You will partner with Finance Operations, Onshore teams, IT, and third-party vendors to drive standardized processes, control compliance, and efficient issue

Qualifications

• Yardi knowledge across finance processes including AP, cash, GL, fixed assets, tax, treasury and reporting.
• Minimum 5+ years hands-on experience on the Yardi platform, preferably Voyager and related modules.
• Experience in supporting large-scale finance operations in shared services, real estate, or investment management.
• Strong knowledge of Yardi configuration, administration, security, workflows, reporting, and data validation.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary Yardi SME for finance and accounting processes.
• Provide functional leadership for Yardi process design, issue resolution, and configuration changes.
• Manage Yardi administration activities including user access governance and security roles.
• Analyse and resolve production issues; coordinate with IT/Yardi support and document resolutions.
• Configure and support vendors, workflows, payments, tax, loans, fixed assets in Yardi.
• Manage Yardi Debt and Fixed Asset modules; support data maintenance and reconciliations.
• Support system integrations between Yardi and external platforms like treasury, tax, and data warehouses.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement to reduce manual effort and strengthen controls.

Job Summary

The Senior Techno Functional Expert - Yardi will act as the primary subject matter expert for the Yardi platform, supporting finance and accounting operations for a large global real estate environment. The role will combine strong Yardi functional knowledge with technical administration, configuration, reporting, integration, controls, and production support capability.

The position will partner with Finance Operations, Onshore teams, IT, Yardi consultants, and third-party application teams to ensure system stability, process efficiency, governance, automation, and continuous improvement across Yardi-enabled finance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary Yardi SME for finance and accounting processes, including Accounts Payable, Cash Operations, General Accounting, Fixed Assets, Loans, Tax, Treasury, and reporting-related activities.
• Provide functional leadership for Yardi-enabled process design, issue resolution, configuration changes, workflow improvements, and business requirement translation.
• Manage Yardi administration activities including user access governance, security roles, system settings, configurations, periodic reviews, and platform health checks.
• Analyse and resolve complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, coordinate with Yardi support/IT teams, and maintain documentation of known issues and resolutions.
• Configure and support key Yardi areas such as vendors, approval workflows, payment processes, accounting structures, property/entity setup, banking, tax, loans, and fixed assets.
• Manage and support the Yardi Debt module, including loan setup, debt schedules, interest calculations, repayments, lender information, covenant tracking, amortization, reporting, and reconciliation with general ledger balances.
• Manage and support the Yardi Fixed Asset module, including asset capitalization, additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation setup, useful life maintenance, asset register accuracy, and fixed asset reconciliations.
• Support system integrations between Yardi and external platforms such as invoice processing tools, banking/treasury systems, tax systems, fixed asset applications, data warehouses, and reporting solutions.
• Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual effort, strengthen controls, and improve process efficiency across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Support financial controls, audit requirements, compliance reviews, data validation, reconciliation, and governance over Yardi transactions and system processes.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, KPIs, and analytical outputs to support management reporting, operational performance tracking, and leadership decision-making.
• Lead or support ERP transformation projects, new module rollouts, entity onboarding, business testing, change management, user training, SOP development, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelors degree in commerce, Business Administration, B.Tech.
• Professional accounting qualification preferred, such as Qualified or Semi Qualified CA, ACCA, CMA, or MBA Finance
• Minimum 68 years of overall experience in Finance, Accounting Systems, ERP support, or business systems roles.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience on the Yardi platform, preferably Yardi Voyager and related finance/accounting modules.
• Experience supporting large-scale finance operations in a shared services, global business services, real estate, property management, investment management, REIT, or real estate funds environment.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, audit requirements, property accounting structures, and real estate finance operations.
• Strong working knowledge of Yardi configuration, administration, security/access controls, workflows, reporting, integrations, testing, release management, and data validation.
• Hands-on experience in Yardi Debt and Fixed Asset modules, including module configuration, transaction processing support, master data maintenance, reconciliations, reporting, and issue resolution.
• Proficiency in Advanced Excel; working knowledge of Power BI, SQL, reporting tools, data mapping, APIs, and interface monitoring will be an added advantage.
• Yardi certification, ERP administration certification, project management certification, or data analytics certification will be preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, analytical, project management, change management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
