Job summary

Baker Tilly International is seeking a Tax Senior Associate in Bengaluru to contribute to US, corporate and partnership tax engagements. You will prepare, review, and plan tax returns, coach staff, and drive high-quality client service across deadlines.

Flexible to overtime and travel as needed, with a strong emphasis on compliance and research. Qualifications include a CPA/CA preferred or eligible, 3+ years in US taxation, and prior public accounting experience in corporate and partnership tax

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA (US) or CA (ICAI) preferred, or eligibility to obtain certification upon hire.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in U.S. taxation.
• Experience in a public accounting firm with proficiency in corporate (1120) and partnership (1065) tax returns.
• At least 2 years of tax preparation experience and 1 year of tax return review experience.
• Strong client service skills with experience managing multiple engagements and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Highly motivated with initiative for professional growth, and flexibility to work overtime and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Participate in client engagements by providing corporate, partnership and individual tax services; devise, plan and execute tax strategies and research potential tax issues
• Prepare and/or review returns for corporate, partnership, or individuals, including federal, foreign, state and local tax return, estimated payments and extensions
• Support Tax Staff in delivering including coaching and reviewing their work
• Review extensions and quarterly estimates
