Job summary

Baker Tilly One - India LLP, a member of Baker Tilly International, is seeking a US Taxation specialist to advise multinational clients on corporate, partnership and individual tax matters. The role requires CPA/US credential or CA with relevant experience and strong leadership abilities.

As part of a global advisory group, you will supervise Tax Seniors and Staff, develop client relationships and ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including federal, state and international tax

Qualifications

• Bachelor's /Master’s degree with a major in accounting and CPA (US) or CA (ICAI).
• Minimum of 6yrs years of experience in US Taxation
• Previous experience in a public accounting firm and Proficient in corporate, partnership and individual taxation
• Minimum of 2 years of supervising and training experience
• Prior experience working with large, multi-state, internationally active middle-market clients preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills required for managing multiple client engagements
• Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and ability to work overtime, as needed

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on corporate, partnership, individual and trust and estate tax services
• Help determine tax service objectives, scope and methodology and actively participate in communications with client management to understand the client’s business and to identify possible tax solutions
• Oversee the calculation and analysis of tax strategies for clients and assist with delivering to the client
• Manage and review the preparation of corporate, partnership or individuals, including federal, foreign, state and local tax return, estimated payments and extensions.
• Monitor, document and apply the tax laws for US tax return preparation
• Continue to develop relationships with clients, including involvement in networking and business development activities
• Provide both leadership (mentoring and coaching) and supervision to Tax Seniors and Staff
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute towards implementing them
