Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced accounting professional to deliver full-cycle accounting, including payroll, AP/AR, and general ledger tasks, ensuring accurate client deliverables and timely communication.

You will set up tax and insurance schedules, prepare journal entries and depreciation, and coordinate with the team on project delivery within budget; real estate or property management experience is preferred and QuickBooks plus cloud tools are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience; real estate/property management preferred.
  • Strong MS Office skills; QuickBooks and cloud accounting tools.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver all aspects of accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, employee benefits, and general ledger accounting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate client communication and deliverables.
  • Review payroll prior to processing and selected A/P transactions.
  • Set up and maintain schedules for property tax and insurance.
  • Perform periodic review and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare fixed asset depreciation schedules.
  • Monitor quality, verify information, and check work of department staff for accuracy.
  • Manage overall project needs, internal communication, training, and consultancy within budget.
  • Serve as main point of contact between Baker Tilly and client ensuring successful project delivery.

Job Description:

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience required; experience in real estate and/or property management strongly preferred
  • Strong technology skill using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and QuickBooks required; Yardi, Intacct, NetSuite, and other cloud accounting tool experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently, establish priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to approach complex tasks or problems creatively while knowing when to elevate critical issues to management
  • Capabilities reading, analyzing, and interpreting financial and legal documents with an ability to respond to common inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, or the business community
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
