Job summary

Weaver is seeking a Tax professional at the Supervisor level to join our growing firm in Chennai. The candidate should be a team player, self-starter, and able to manage multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy in tax filings for partnerships and corporations.

The role requires 6+ years of public accounting experience, English language proficiency, and readiness to work from the office with the team. Proficiency in MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 6+ years of public accounting experience
• Proficient in CCH Axcess, Prosystem Fx Engagement, GoFile room
• Experience in preparing/reviewing federal tax returns – Partnership and Corporate returns
• Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Willing to work in office with team members and managers
• Problem solving skills and able to work independently
• Ability to grasp new concepts
• Flexible hours for key client or team meetings
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)

Weaver is looking for talented Tax professionals at the Supervisor level candidate to join our growing firm!
The Candidate should be a team player who exhibits initiative, accepts responsibility, communicates effectively, and manages multiple concurrent assignments of varying sizes and complexity. As this role is provisions-focused, the candidate should have a strong work ethic and be a self-starter, and understand that the busy season for work often differs from a typical tax busy season.

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 6 or 6+ years of public accounting experience
• Proficient in CCH Axcess, Prosystem Fx Engagement, Gofile room
• Experience in Preparing / Reviewing federal tax returns –Partnership and Corporate returns.
• Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills
• Independent training and self-development, including researching and self-involving based on available resources
• Fluent writing and verbal skills in English, including grammatical accuracy
• Willing to work in office with team members and managers
• Problem solving skills and able to work independently successfully
• Ability to grasp new concepts
• Able to work flexible hours when key client or team meetings are needed
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)

Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred:

• Master’s degree in Accounting, or related field is preferred
• EA, CPA, CPA candidate, CA or CA candidate .
• Knowledge/experience of Manufacturing/Professional Service/Construction/Healthcare industry along with knowledge in Tax Journal entries & knowledge Tax adjustments.
• Strong knowledge of excel and formula usage wherever applicable.
