Job summary

Weaver India is seeking experienced tax professionals for the Senior Associate level to support its not-for-profit practice in Bengaluru. The role emphasizes teamwork, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple assignments of varying sizes. The candidate should be fluent in English and comfortable using MS Office and tax software tools.

Office presence is required to collaborate with Supervisors and team members. Ideal candidates will have 4+ years of U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• 4+ years of experience preparing U.S. federal and state tax returns.
• Experience grouping large sets of accounts.
• Efficiently prepare financial statements from raw data for tax use.
• Hands-on experience with Form 1040, 1065, 1120, 1041 and related state filings; review of simpler returns.
• Experience with Form 990/990-PF is an advantage.
• Ability to learn, research technical topics, and grasp new concepts.
• Willingness to work in an office with team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare U.S. federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and exempt organizations.
• Group large sets of accounts and convert data into tax-ready formats.
• Review and supervise simpler returns prepared by Associates.
• Assist with exempt organization filings (990, 990-PF).
• Collaborate with team to meet client deadlines and maintain accuracy.

The Candidate should be a team player who exhibits initiative, accepts responsibility, communicates effectively, and manages multiple concurrent assignments of varying sizes and complexity. As this role is focused on the not-for-profit practice, the candidate should have a strong work ethic and be a self-starter and understand that the busy season for work often differs from a typical tax busy season.

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 4 or 4+ years of experience preparing U.S. federal and state tax returns.
• Knowledge and practice in grouping large sets of accounts
• Efficiency in preparation of financial statements from raw data for use in tax preparation
• Hands-on experience preparing complex individual, partnership, corporate, trust, and exempt organization tax returns (Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1041), including related state filings; with proven ability to review and supervise simpler returns prepared by Associates.
• Experience with exempt organization filings, including Forms 990 and 990-PF, is considered an advantage.
• Ability to continually learn, research technical topics and grasp new concepts
• Ability to utilize all available resources for efficient and effective problem solving
• Willingness to work in office with team members / Supervisors or managers

• Master’s degree in accounting, or related field is preferred
