Job summary

A global leader in recruitment and engineering solutions is seeking a Tax Accountant for UK and Americas compliance. You will prepare tax computations, support governance, and assist with advisory work. Qualified ACA/ATT with experience in accounting and tax accounting is preferred. Responsibilities

• Preparation of UK tax computations and returns.
• Assist with internal and external tax accounting.
• Support with Sales/Use tax compliance across the US.
• Engage with US tax compliance, including Federal and State filings.
• Provide ad hoc tax advisory support as needed.
• Collaborate with external tax providers for data delivery.

About the Role:

As a Tax Accountant – UK & Americas, you will support corporate tax compliance, reporting, and governance across both regions. You’ll prepare UK tax computations, coordinate US filings, assist with tax accounting, and contribute to advisory work while developing strong technical and international tax skills.

What You’ll Be Doing :

• Preparation of UK Tax computations / returns and quarterly instalment payment calculations prepared in house using Alphatax software
• Assist with internal and external tax accounting and tax reporting including tax accounting disclosures for UK statutory accounts
• Senior Accounting Officer compliance
• Potential to support where required with other UK tax matters – VAT, employment taxes
• Ad hoc tax advisory work
• Working with external tax compliance provider, deliver financial data for the US tax return compliance cycle for Federal, State and other local corporate income tax compliance and payments
• Assisting with the annual cycle of internal and external tax accounting and tax reporting
• Support with Sales/Use tax compliance across the US group
• Ad hoc tax advisory work

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified ACA/ATT or equivalent.
• Experience with accounting and tax accounting
• Experience with UK or USA Taxes is desirable
• Proficient with Excel and any experience with ERP systems/accounting software is desirable
• Proven ability to pick up new areas of work quickly and ability to self-motivate
• Excellent communication skills and desire to interact at all levels across a global organisation
• Pro‑active with a “can do” attitude to tasks and issues that arise
• Candidate must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment
• Commercially minded
