Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is looking for a Tanium Administrator in Chennai with 2–4 years of hands-on Tanium experience. The role focuses on patch management, endpoint visibility, and basic remediation workflows in a global tech environment.

You will deploy monthly patches, manage deployment groups, and assist with onboarding/offboarding while addressing common Tanium issues and packaging for non-native apps. Virtual interview mode is indicated in the posting.

Qualifications

• Must have 2–4 years of Tanium administration experience.
• Experience with patching, compliance, and vulnerability remediation basics.
• Ability to create deployment groups based on OU/Computer name and handle endpoint onboarding/offboarding.
• Proficiency in deploying MSI/EXE packages for applications not available in Tanium.

Responsibilities

• Download patches and create deployment patches and groups for monthly patches to deploy to endpoints.
• Set Maintenance Window for critical servers/workstations/VDI based on business requirements.
• Resolve Tanium issues such as agent connectivity, endpoint visibility, and basic configuration errors and deployment failures.
• Support patching, compliance, and vulnerability remediation workflow at a basic operational level.
• Assist with endpoint onboarding, offboarding and inventory/report validation.
• Patch endpoints through Tanium with monthly patches downloaded for MS.
• Patch endpoints to fix vulnerabilities based on security incidents.
• Create separate deployment groups based on OU/Computer name for package deployment as requested.
• Create MSI or EXE packages for applications not available in Tanium.

Must-Have

• 1. Download the MS patch and create the deployment patch and group for the monthly patches to deploy them to the endpoints.
• 2. Set the Maintenance Window for any critical application server / Workstation / VDI based on business requirement.
• 3. Resolve common Tanium issues such as agent connectivity, endpoint visibility, basic configuration error and deployment failures.

• 5. Assist with endpoint onboarding, offboarding and inventory / report validation

• 8. Create separate Deployment groups based on OU / Computer name to deploy the packages as per user request.
• 9. Create the .msi or .exe package for an appliation to deploy the software which is not available in Tanium
