Job summary

Weekday is hiring a Talent Management Executive to run the day-to-day of our people function in Bangalore, with a hybrid work arrangement. You will own onboarding, payroll, records, leaves, and exits, and ensure our people processes scale as we grow.

You’ll also handle internal hiring, employee experiences, and keep the office running smoothly while building lightweight, scalable systems. 0–3 years’ HR ops experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years in HR operations or similar roles.
• Exposure to payroll and statutory compliance in India.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Warmth, discretion, and good judgement in sensitive conversations.
• Comfort assessing candidates; prior interviewing experience is a plus.
• Ownership mindset; proactively fixes problems.
• Comfort with Google Workspace; automation bonus.

Responsibilities

• Own the employee lifecycle: onboarding, documentation, records, leave, attendance, exits.
• Own monthly payroll and compliance, including inputs, reconciliations, employee queries.

The role

We're looking for a hands‑on people person to run the day‑to‑day of our people function and our Bangalore office. You'll get the operational details right every time. You'll also handle the human moments, like joining, exits, and farewells, with care and good judgement. You'll fix what's broken in our people processes and build simple systems that scale as we grow.

What you'll do

• People operations: Own the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, documentation, records, leave and attendance, and exits.
• Payroll: Own monthly payroll and compliance, including inputs, reconciliations, and employee queries.
• People moments: Make onboarding, offboarding, and farewells thoughtful member experiences, not just checklists.
• Internal hiring: Interview candidates for roles we hire internally, and help keep our interview process fair and consistent.
• Office experience: Keep the Bangalore office running smoothly, and make it a pleasant, welcoming place for anyone who works from it.
• Process building: Spot gaps in our people processes and close them with clear, lightweight systems.

What we're looking for

• 0–3 years in HR operations, people ops, or a similar role
• Exposure to payroll and statutory compliance in India (PF, ESI, PT, TDS) is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and a high bar for accuracy
• Warmth, discretion, and good judgement in sensitive conversations
• Comfort assessing candidates; prior interviewing experience is a plus
• An ownership mindset: you see a problem and fix it without waiting to be asked
• Comfort with Google Workspace; bonus if you like automating repetitive work
