Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Senior Material Planner to balance spare parts demand and manage procurement across international teams. The role focuses on improving stock availability and supplier performance within a global logistics framework.

You will work with SAP ECC (MM) and Teamcenter, coordinate with suppliers, and drive cost and quality improvements while communicating effectively in English. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in material planning, tactical procurement and supplier management.

Independent complaints handling and invoice review.

Responsibilities

Balancing spare parts demands and availability through accurate and timely ordering
Constant information exchange between all internal and external parties involved as well as proactively initiating mitigation actions in case of potential supply shortages
Optimisation of central and local stocks by incorporating and continuously improving the overall material availability
Comprehensive supplier management through monitoring and optimisation of reliability, quality and costs for materials and logistics
Acting as a focal point for the spare parts supply of the category of Minor Components assigned
Participating in tenders for the supply of spare parts in close cooperation with the strategic procurement department
Independent complaints handling and invoice review

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in material planning, tactical procurement and supplier management
Well-founded thinking in SAP structures
Degree in Business Administration or Economics, preferably with a focus on supply chain management or logistics
Comparable vocational training with corresponding additional qualification
Strong customer orientation and ability to work in an international team
Experience in working with different business cultures and building strong personal relationships
Sound knowledge of SAP ECC (mainly module MM) and MS Office
Additional knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA and Teamcenter would be an advantage.
Fluent in English; ideally also in Spanish and / or German on a good level
Willingness to travel if needed
