Job summary

Acesoft Labs is seeking a data insights specialist to develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau and Cognos Analytics. You will collaborate with senior specialists and leverage data from DB2 data sources to design effective analytics solutions.

The role emphasizes SQL-based data prep, ETL testing, and accurate data delivery while supporting project work and defect tracking. Strong visualization and reporting design skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SQL for data extraction, testing, and data prep.
• Strong experience with Tableau for dashboards and reports.
• Experience with Cognos Analytics and Cognos Transformer for analytics solutions.
• Knowledge of OLAP modeling concepts and data cubes for analytics.
• Skilled in designing visually effective dashboards and reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and static reports using Tableau and IBM Cognos.
• Collaborate with Senior Data Insights specialists to design customer-focused solutions.
• Utilize data from modeled Business Data sources and DB2 datamarts/ODS to meet requirements.
• Conduct internal analytics testing to ensure accuracy and reliability of data products.
• Use SQL to pull and prepare data for Dashboards and Reports.
• Test new ETL developments and changes for accuracy, volume, and quality.
• Participate in data projects delivering large-scale data solutions as part of a team.
• Report defects using Jira and coordinate with IT for retesting.
• Understand data flow using data lineage tools and specification documentation.
• Develop repeatable testing processes using SQL-based tools.

Role & responsibilities

Insights Solution Development:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and static reports using Tableau and IBM Cognos.
• Collaborate with Senior Data Insights specialists to design solutions that meet customer needs.
• Utilize data from modeled Business Data sources, Structured DB2 Datamarts, and DB2 Operational Data stores to fulfill business requirements.
• Conduct internal analytics testing on all data products to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Use SQL to pull and prepare data for use in Dashboards and Reports

Data Management Tasks:

• Test new ETL developments, break-fixes, and enhancements using SQL-based tools to ensure the accuracy, volume, and quality of ETL changes.
• Participate in data projects, delivering larger-scale data solutions as part of a project team.
• Report defects using Jira and work closely with IT team professionals to ensure the timely retesting of data defects
• Utilize Spec. Documentation and Data lineage tools to understand flow of data into Analytics Data sources
• Develop repeatable testing processes using SQL based tools
