Job summary

Zoho in Pune, India is seeking a Tableau Server Administrator to install, configure, and maintain Tableau Server environments for development and production. You will ensure high availability, performance, security, and governance for business users and development teams.

The role involves handling topology, licenses, backups, DR planning, and automation with TSM, Tabcmd, PowerShell, Python, or REST APIs, across on-prem and cloud-connected deployments.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Tableau Server across development, test, and production environments; manage topology, licenses, site settings, services, upgrades, patches, maintenance.
• Monitor server performance, optimize backgrounder processes, improve dashboard loading times, and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
• Perform regular Tableau Server backups, validate backups, restore procedures, and support disaster recovery planning.
• Manage users, groups, site roles, permissions, and governance across Tableau content and data sources.
• Configure and support authentication methods (AD/LDAP/SAML/OpenID Connect/etc.) per org requirements.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams on SSL certificates, firewall rules, and secure connectivity between Tableau components.
• Use automation tools and scripts (TSM, Tabcmd, PowerShell, Python, REST APIs) to automate admin tasks.

RoleSummary

Weare looking for a skilled Tableau Server Administrator responsible forinstalling, configuring, maintaining, and supporting Tableau Serverenvironments. The role involves ensuring high availability, performance,security, governance, and smooth operation of Tableau Server for business usersand development teams .

KeyResponsibilities

• Install, Configure, and Maintain TableauServer
  Install and configure Tableau Server across development, test, andproduction environments. Manage server topology, licenses, site settings,services, upgrades, patches, and regular maintenance activities.


• Performance Tuning
  Monitor server performance, optimize backgrounder processes, improvedashboard loading times, analyze server resource utilization, andtroubleshoot performance bottlenecks.


• Backup and Disaster Recovery
  Perform regular Tableau Server backups, validate backup integrity, managerestore procedures, and support disaster recovery planning to ensurebusiness continuity.


• User Access Governance
  Manage users, groups, site roles, project permissions, workbookpermissions, and data source access. Ensure access is aligned withgovernance policies and security standards.


• Authentication Integration
  Configure and support authentication methods such as Active Directory,LDAP, SAML, Kerberos, OpenID Connect, or trusted authentication based onorganizational requirements.


• Network and Security Infrastructure
  Work with infrastructure and security teams to manage SSL certificates,firewall rules, reverse proxy configurations, ports, server connectivity,and secure communication between Tableau components.


• Automation and Scripting
  Use automation tools and scripts such as TSM, Tabcmd, PowerShell, Python,or REST APIs to automate administrative tasks, user provisioning,monitoring, backups, and content management.
