Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Bengaluru (Hybrid: 2 days in office) seeks an engineer to lead regression testing for networking products. You will understand end-to-end workflows, debug complex issues, and collaborate with development and test teams to improve coverage.

Proficiency in Python/Perl and Robot Framework is required, with JUNOS/EVO experience preferred. The role emphasizes test automation, RCA, and delivering robust test strategies to ensure product quality and reliability across

Qualifications

• Understand end-to-end regression testing workflow at technology area and platform level.
• Experience solving complex issues in testing.
• Provide long-term regression testing solutions for networking products.
• High-quality debugging to identify SW bugs vs. other causes.
• Work with Dev and Test teams to analyze coverage gaps and debug.
• Preferably experience with JUNOS/EVO.
• Perform RCA to identify Use Case Coverage gaps.
• Proficient in test automation scripting (Perl, Python).
• Experience with Robot Test framework is a plus.

Team is responsible of driving technology leadership in Juniper’s products (MX, PTX,ACX ) deployed in some of the world’s largest service providers and enterprises networks. RIS is driving Juniper’s growth in revenue and market share in routing space, by delivering market leading products with continuous innovation and relentless execution

Job Description

• Ability to understand end to end Regression testing work flow at technology area and platform/product level.
• Having Experience and capability in solving complex issues in testing.
• Responsibility to bring up a holistic and a long term solution for regression testing carried out on networking products.
• High quality debugging skills, ascertaining the reason for failure, distinguish between a SW bug or otherwise precisely.
• Working with Development and Test Teams to analyse Test coverage and gaps and debugging the problems.
• Preferably have experience with JUNOS/EVO
• Performing RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to identify Use Case Coverage gaps.
• Test Automation Frameworks, tools and scripting languages (Perl, Python) a must.

Job Requirements

• BE/ME/MCA in CS/ECE.
• Good if candidate is having Juniper/Networking certifications.
• 3+ years of experience in product test and L2/L3 protocols testing.
• Good understanding of OSI Model, TCP/IP protocol suite (ARP, IP, ICMP, IGMP, TCP, UDP, SNMP, FTP).
• Knowledge on routing protocols like ISIS, OSPF, BGP, QoS, Multicast, MPLS, and VPLS.
• Expert level knowledge in Python, Perl and complex automation.
• Excellent knowledge on the test tools like IXIA, Spirent test equipment’s.
• Strong analytical skills to debug and isolate problems.
• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving skills.
• Aptitude to learn new technology quickly and adapt to new feature testing/new assignments faster.
• Very Strong Team player.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Good understanding of testing concepts - metrics, defects life cycle.
• Responsibilities include test script execution, data sourcing/data provisioning, defect analysis, and ensuring that proper test result documentation and processes are followed as per the test strategy.
• Preferably have experience with Robot Test framework.
