Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Bengaluru is looking for a Systems Programmer to design and maintain OS internals for their Nonstop platform. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that ensure data integrity and high availability.

The ideal candidate has over 6 years of experience in systems programming, proficient in C/C++ and assembly language, and will operate in a hybrid work environment with emphasis on both individual and team contributions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in systems programming, preferably in storage or File System development.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and assembly language.
• Experience with Nonstop OS (OSS/Guardian) or other fault-tolerant systems is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the OS internals related to Disk IOs for the HPE Nonstop platform.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including storage, File System, SQL database and QA.
• Analyze and resolve complex system-level issues related to disk IOs.

This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain the OS internals related to Disk IOs for the HPE Nonstop platform.
• Develop and enhance solutions to ensure data integrity and high availability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including storage, File System, SQL database and QA, to deliver robust and reliable solutions.
• Analyze and resolve complex system‑level issues related to disk IOs, data integrity and fault‑tolerance.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and performance tuning.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and automation of development and testing processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Education And Experience Required

• Experience with Nonstop OS (OSS/Guardian) or other fault‑tolerant systems is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with kernel‑level programming, memory management and transaction management.
