Qualifications

• Experience with mainframe z/OS system programming and upgrades.
• Hands-on in SMP/E, z/OSMF, and software maintenance workflows.
• Proficient in problem analysis using IPCS, GTF, EREP and logs.
• Strong RACF, IPL profiles, HMC administration and security.
• Experience with REXX scripting and automation for system exits.
• Nice to have COBOL/LE, Java runtime, and HMC experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage z/OS system programming tasks and hardware support.

Job description

1)Mainframe z/OS System Programming experience, including IBM Z hardware support, OS upgrades, security patching, ARC recovery, and z16 upgrades.

2)SMP/E & z/OSMF: Configure SMP/E, order/install software, perform z/OS upgrades, and build software maintenance workflows.

3)z/OS Diagnostics & Debugging: Hands-on with Assembler, SVC Dumps, LOGREC, IPCS, EREP, GTF, and SLIP for system problem analysis.

4)Mainframe Security & Infrastructure: Strong RACF, SYSPLEX/Coupling Facility, and HMC administration, including IPL profiles and HMC security.

5)REXX Programming: Develop and maintain system exits, utilities, and automation scripts.

6)Preferred: COBOL/LE, Java runtime, HCD, Windows, and additional HMC experience.
