Job summary

Chargebee seeks a G&A Systems Business Partner, an individual contributor embedded in the General & Administrative org, to own the NetSuite ERP roadmap and integrate global HCM platforms. You will partner with CFO, CHRO, and General Counsel to deliver AI-enabled improvements across Finance, HR, Legal, and Accounting.

You will oversee NetSuite configurations, SoD controls, and cross-system integrations with Coupa, Rippling/DarwinBox, and the Corporate Data Warehouse, while driving AI-enabled

Job description

The G&A Systems Business Partner is a manager-level individual contributor embedded within Chargebee's General & Administrative organization. This person serves as the primary GBT technology interface for the CFO, CHRO, and General Counsel, owning the systems roadmap, resolving blockers, and delivering AI-enabled business process improvements across Finance, Human Resources, Legal, and Accounting.

This is not a support role. It is a high-accountability partnership position requiring deep expertise in enterprise G&A systems, NetSuite ERP, a global HCM platform (DarwinBox or Rippling), IronClad CLM, and Coupa,combined with the ability to deploy AI tools across business workflows and act as the connective tissue between G&A leadership and all of GBT's capabilities.

Responsibilities

Stakeholder Relationship & Partnership

• Build and maintain deep, trusted relationships with G&A sub-leaders across Finance, FP&A, Accounting, HR/People, Legal, and Compliance, understanding their goalss, system pain points, and strategic priorities on a continuous basis.
• Serve as the single named GBT point of contact for CFO, CHRO, and General Counsel organizations, eliminating ticket-queue friction with a 24-hour response commitment on all critical blockers.
• Develop full fluency across all GBT sub-functions, GTM Tech, Q2C Systems, G&A Systems, Corporate Data & AI Enablement, InfoSec, AI CoE, and PMO,and know exactly when and how to mobilize each on behalf of G&A.

Finance & Accounting Systems, NetSuite ERP

• Serve as the primary GBT owner for NetSuite, administering, configuring, and evolving Chargebee's NetSuite instance across Financial Management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Revenue Recognition (ASC 606 / IFRS 15), Fixed Assets, Multi-Book, and Multi-Subsidiary.
• Design and build NetSuite business processes end-to-end: period close, intercompany eliminations, revenue recognition schedules, AP/AR automation, expense management, and cash management workflows.
• Own Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls in NetSuite, ensuring no individual can both initiate and approve a financial transaction, and that GBT BP access is configured to advise and configure, not to approve.
• Manage NetSuite integrations with Chargebee (billing and revenue), Coupa (procurement), Rippling/DarwinBox (payroll sync), and the GBT Corporate Data Warehouse — keeping financial data flows accurate, reconciled, and audit-ready.
• Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes — partnering with the Accounting team to reduce close cycle time through automation and process improvement.

HR & People Systems, DarwinBox or Rippling (Global HCM)

• Serve as the primary GBT owner for Chargebee's global HCM platform, DarwinBox (India/APAC) or Rippling (US/EMEA), administering employee lifecycle workflows including hire-to-retire, offboarding, payroll integration, leaves, and performance management.
• Configure and maintain HCM modules: Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Performance, Time & Attendance, and Learning, aligned to Chargebee's global entity structure and local compliance requirements.
• Own the integration between the HCM and NetSuite for payroll journal entries and headcount reporting; ensure HR master data synchronizes accurately with downstream systems including Okta, Slack, and the GBT Data Warehouse.
• Partner with the CHRO's office and HRBPs to design and automate people processes, onboarding workflows, org chart management, compensation review cycles, and attrition analytics.
• Drive AI enablement within the People function, deploying productivity tools for HRBP teams, automating routine HR queries via AI agents, and building adoption of Birthright AI tools across the HR organization.

Legal Systems, IronClad CLM

• Serve as the primary GBT owner for IronClad Contract Lifecycle Management, configuring and administering the contract repository, workflow templates, approval chains, counterparty negotiation workflows, and reporting dashboards.
• Design and build CLM business processes end-to-end: contract intake, NDA automation, commercial agreement workflows, renewal management, and obligation tracking, in partnership with the General Counsel and Legal Ops team.
• Configure IronClad integrations with Salesforce (opportunity-to-contract), DocuSign (e-signature), and the GBT Data Warehouse (contract analytics); ensure Legal data flows remain accurate across the stack.
• Identify and deploy AI-assisted contract review and drafting capabilities within IronClad, working with the AI CoE to evaluate, pilot, and scale applicable tools within Legal Ops.

Procurement Systems, Coupa

• Own GBT's configuration and administration of Coupa ,covering eProcurement, Purchase Orders, Supplier Management, Invoicing, and Expense Management modules.
• Design procurement business flows in Coupa aligned to Chargebee's purchasing policy: requisition-to-PO, invoice-to-pay, 3-way match, and supplier onboarding, including budget threshold controls and approval routing by cost center and entity.
• Own the Coupa-to-NetSuite integration, ensuring PO, invoice, and payment data flows accurately into the GL with no reconciliation gaps.
• Manage supplier portal configuration, catalog management, and procurement analytics dashboards for the Finance and Procurement leadership team.
• Champion AI tool adoption within the G&A organization as part of Chargebee's Birthright AI Access program, assigning and enabling Personal Productivity, Builder, and Super Builder personas across Finance, HR, Legal, and Accounting roles.
• Design, prototype, and deploy AI automation workflows across G&A processes: AP invoice processing, contract review assistance, HR query chatbots, payroll reconciliation automation, and financial close analytics.
• Run quarterly AI enablement workshops for G&A teams, in collaboration with the AI Center of Excellence, track adoption metrics and elevate advanced build requirements to Dev AI.
• Maintain hands-on proficiency across relevant AI platforms: Claude (Anthropic), IronClad AI, Workato/Make AI capabilities, and NetSuite AI-native features; stay current with the evolving landscape and bring innovations to G&A proactively.

Qualifications

Experience & Background

• 5-7+ years of total experience, with at least 4+ years in a Business Partner, G&A Systems, ERP Administration, or IT Partnership role within a high-growth SaaS or technology company.
• Demonstrated track record of embedding directly within Finance, HR, or Legal organizations and delivering system improvements and AI-enabled automation at high velocity.
• Experience operating in a fast-paced, global SaaS environment with multi-entity, multi-currency requirements; familiarity with subscription billing, revenue recognition, and global payroll complexity is a strong plus.
• Background in or strong familiarity with G&A business processes end-to-end: procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, record-to-report, hire-to-retire, and contract lifecycle management.

NetSuite ERP Expertise

• NetSuite Administrator certification required; NetSuite ERP Consultant or SuiteFoundation certification strongly preferred.
• Deep, hands-on NetSuite configuration skills: SuiteFlows, SuiteScripts (working knowledge), custom records and fields, saved searches, financial consolidation, multi-book/multi-subsidiary, and role/permission management.
• Experience configuring NetSuite Revenue Recognition (ASC 606/IFRS 15), Fixed Assets Management, and AP/AR automation is highly valued.
• Ability to direct a NetSuite developer with precision for complex scripting requirements; candidates who can write basic SuiteScript are preferred.

G&A Platform Expertise

• DarwinBox or Rippling HCM: hands‑on experience administering core HR, payroll integration, and employee lifecycle workflows in a global, multi‑entity organization.
• IronClad CLM (or comparable CLM platform, Ironclad, Icertis, Conga): experience configuring contract workflows, approval routing, e‑signature integrations, and contract repository management.
• Coupa (or comparable eProcurement, Coupa, Zip, Jaggaer): experience administering PO workflows, 3‑way match, invoice automation, and supplier management.
• Proficiency with integration middleware (Workato, MuleSoft, or Make) for connecting G&A systems to each other and to downstream data platforms.

AI & Agentic AI Expertise

• Demonstrated hands‑on experience deploying AI tools in a Finance, HR, or Legal context, including document intelligence, process automation, and AI‑assisted workflows.
• Ability to design and prototype AI automation flows for G&A use cases (AP automation, contract review, HR query bots, financial close analytics) using available platforms.
• Proficiency with the Builder‑tier AI tool stack: Claude (Anthropic), Gemini, Notion AI, Cursor, N8N capabilities; not expected to write production code but must be fluent in building with AI tools.
• Proven ability to identify AI automation opportunities in G&A workflows and independently drive them from idea to deployed solution, including change management and user adoption.
