Job summary

EnerMech is a specialist service company delivering safe, integrated solutions for energy projects. The Systems Accountant will own ERP-related finance activities globally, ensuring accurate configuration, controls, and reporting across the ERP landscape.

You will lead finance workstreams for onboarding, reporting enhancements, data migrations, and UAT, working closely with IT and external partners, in a busy SSC/global finance environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or equivalent with finance systems experience.
• Strong experience with ERP systems and finance processes; IFRS/GAAP understanding preferred.
• Experience in UAT, reporting, and ERP governance across global teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as the single Finance point of accountability for ERP activities and projects.
• Represent Finance in ERP governance, design decisions, and UAT.
• Ensure Finance requirements are translated into ERP configuration, controls and reporting.
• Maintain ownership boundaries between Finance, IT, and ERP partners.
• Lead Finance workstreams for onboarding and ERP integration, reporting changes, data migrations, and controls.

The Role

The Systems Accountant is the primary Finance stakeholder responsible for all ERP related activities requiring Finance input, oversight, or decision making. This role acts as the Finance owner of ERP change, configuration support, reporting, controls, and integrations, while also providing business as usual (BAU) ERP support to Finance teams globally.

Responsibilities

• Act as the single Finance point of accountability for all ERP related activities, changes, and projects.
• Represent Finance in ERP governance, design decisions, prioritisation, and UAT activities.
• Ensure Finance requirements are correctly translated into ERP configuration, controls, and reporting outcomes.
• Maintain clear ownership boundaries between Finance, IT, and external ERP support partners.

Lead Finance workstreams for ERP-related initiatives including:

• New entity onboarding and ERP integration
• Reporting enhancements and retirements
• Controls, permissions, and workflow changes
• Data migrations (Finance led components)
• Own and execute Finance side ERP UAT, including reconciliations and validation across systems.
• Coordinate Finance input into new ERP functionality reviews, ensuring changes are understood, documented, and controlled.

The Requirements

• Qualified Accountant or equivalent Finance systems experience
• Strong hands on experience with ERP systems (Navision / Dynamics preferred)
• Proven experience supporting Finance ERP operations and projects
• Strong understanding of Finance processes, controls, and reporting requirements
• Ability to operate comfortably across BAU support and project delivery
• Experience with Lucanet or similar consolidation tools
• Experience operating in an SSC or Global Finance model
• Exposure to ERP de risking, transition, or operating model change
