Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Bengaluru seeks a qualified engineer with 4–8 years of experience in aircraft systems installation design to join our aerospace practice. You will contribute to the integration of propulsion, hydraulic, avionics, and electrical systems within aircraft structures.

You will work with cross‑functional teams, use CATIA V5 for 3D modeling, and participate in CAD drawings, BOMs, and PLM processes to ensure design integrity and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering discipline.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 for 3D modeling and drafting.
• Strong knowledge of LRU installation, packaging, and bracket design.
• Experience in routing of tubes, pipes, ducts, and electrical harnesses.
• Hands-on experience in creating installation, assembly, and manufacturing drawings.
• Good understanding of GD&T and aerospace drawing standards.
• Experience in clash detection, interference analysis, and clearance studies.
• Knowledge of aerospace standard parts, fittings, fasteners, and connectors.
• Experience with Teamcenter or other PLM tools for drawing release and configuration management.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams including Structures, Systems, Stress, and Manufacturing.
• Understanding of DFMA principles and installation maintainability requirements.
• Experience in release of CAD models, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
• Exposure to aircraft design standards and aerospace development programs.
