Job summary

Tata Advanced Systems Limited seeks a senior avionics systems engineer to lead design and development of UAV platforms in Bengaluru. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to refine airframes, propulsion, avionics and payload integration, ensuring system reliability and performance.

The role requires 10–15 years in avionics, strong knowledge of certification and airworthiness processes, and proven ability to manage complex programs and teams under tight deadlines.

Job description

• Relevant experience required - (10-15) years

Overview:

Design and Development: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to conceptualize and design UAV systems, including airframes, propulsion systems, avionics, and payloads.

Required Skills:

• Experience in Systems Engineering / Avionics / Propulsion side in UAV design and Development.
• Strong Knowledge of avionics system techniques / multi-function testing
• Thorough understanding of System integration and testing techniques and methods
• Monitoring of Project progression
• Experience in the aerospace and defence industry with relevant experience in managing large scale in the domain of design and development (software, structural and electro-mechanical systems), manufacturing and quality across multiple clientele and product lines.
• Knowledge in Mechanical/Hydraulic systems/Cabin or any other systems
• Experience in developing and writing technical requirements per standards (to be mentioned)
• Experience in validating technical requirements per Standard
• Knowledge of certification and airworthiness requirements.
• Experience in defining and managing product interfaces.
• Expertise in analysing and decomposing requirements to lower-level specifications.
• Exposure to complex systems architectures and how an architecture relates to requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to consider the product holistically (systems thinking), including how it interacts with its environment, users and other systems.
