Job summary

TVS Motor in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, is seeking a System Engineer - Engine Development (Development Manager) with 12-14 years of experience in engine development and testing. You will lead engine development activities, ensure performance, durability, and drive sub-system and system functionality.

You will plan DV activities, coordinate with suppliers, and guide a team of engineers through development, testing, calibration, and on-road validation to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Post graduation in Mechanical/Automobile engineering.
• 12–14 years of experience in engine development and testing.
• Problem solving skills and motorcycle riding certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute DV and resolve DV-originated problems.
• Achieve AQ, MBQ parameters in TQT and develop solutions for customer requirements.
• Lead design team for solution implementation.
• Lead engineers for development and testing.
• Conduct benchmark studies and apply learnings to product.
• Engine calibration exposure and hardware finalization.
• On-road driveability and track testing to understand customer problems.
• Engage with suppliers to develop technology or features for new engines.

Purpose of the Role:

Responsible for complete vehicle and powertrain development and testing.

Lead the engine development activities to achieve the performance, durability, sub system and system functional development by self and lead team of junior engineers

Role Description
