Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute Design Validation (DV) activities and resolve issues during validation.
• Achieve AQ and MBQ parameters in TQT and develop solutions to meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate with and drive the design team to implement engineering solutions.
• Lead a team of engineers in engine development, testing and validation activities.
• Conduct benchmarking studies and apply learnings to improve product performance.
• Handle engine calibration activities and support engine hardware selection/finalization.
• Conduct on-road driveability assessments and track testing to identify customer issues.
• Work with suppliers to develop new engine technologies and system-level solutions.
• Drive gasoline/petrol engine development, performance optimization, durability validation and testing.
• Support two-wheeler engine and powertrain development to meet customer requirements.

Job Title: System Engineer Engine Development (Development Manager)

Required Experience: 12 - 16 years of experience in engine development and testing, preferably in gasoline/petrol engines and the two-wheeler automotive segment.

Purpose of the Role:

Responsible for complete vehicle and powertrain development and testing, with a focus on gasoline engine development. Lead engine development activities to achieve performance, durability, subsystem and system functional targets while guiding a team of junior engineers.

Role Description / Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan and execute Design Validation (DV) activities and resolve issues arising during validation.
2. Achieve AQ and MBQ parameters in TQT and develop solutions to meet customer requirements.
3. Coordinate with and drive the design team to implement effective engineering solutions.
4. Lead a team of engineers in engine development, testing and validation activities.
5. Conduct benchmarking studies and apply learnings to improve product performance.
6. Handle engine calibration activities and support engine hardware selection and finalization.
7. Conduct on-road driveability assessments and track testing to identify and resolve customer issues.
8. Work with suppliers to develop new engine technologies, features and system-level solutions.
