Job summary

Acumont Solutions in Mumbai seeks a System Engineer with aerospace background to translate requirements into clear system-level specs and drive cross-subsystem integration.

You will work with propulsion, structures, thermal and electronics teams, support verification and testing, and contribute to documentation and process improvements throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Define and translate mission/product requirements into clear system-level requirements and engineering specifications.
• Develop system architecture and establish interfaces between propulsion, structures, thermal, electronics and other subsystems.
• Drive system integration activities and coordinate with design, manufacturing, testing and project teams.
• Support system-level verification and validation activities throughout the development lifecycle.
• Plan, execute and analyse functional, environmental and qualification testing of aerospace/space hardware.
• Work on test activities such as thermal-vacuum, vibration, functional and other relevant system-level testing.
• Identify technical risks, assess system-level impacts and drive appropriate mitigation actions.
• Analyse test failures and technical issues, perform root-cause investigations and support corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation including requirements, specifications, interface documentation, test plans and technical reports.
• Evaluate engineering trade-offs involving performance, reliability, cost, resources and schedule.
• Support the transition of systems from design and development through build, test and integration.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
• Contribute to improving system engineering processes, documentation and testing methodologies.

Required Experience & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Relevant engineering experience, with strong hands-on exposure to system engineering.
• Experience in aerospace, spacecraft, satellite, propulsion, launch vehicle, or related hardware systems.
• Strong understanding of system requirements, interfaces, system architecture, verification and validation.
• Hands-on exposure to system integration and hardware testing.
• Good understanding of at least one technical domain such as:

• Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
