System Engineer - Built-In Test Equipment (BITE)
Team Description:
The Maintenance Team at Airbus India primarily works on topics like maintenance systems of tomorrow for the aircraft, designing the BITE specifications for the systems, providing the customization mods needed for the aircraft, and solutions to improve the maturity of systems. Key competencies include System Engineering topics like Requirements engineering, configuration management, V&V, etc. along with exposure to wireless protocols, aerospace standards & basics of MBSE. Team works with legacy aircrafts (Commercial) and is also engaged on Airbus Skywise (the singular access point to data analytics) utilizing Big Data, Java & Python skills to create dashboards & applications to analyze Maintenance data. We are a team strongly invested in R & T initiatives that are dedicated to supporting future aircraft health needs. This team is part of Advanced Engineering & System Studies, a department that works on providing simulations means for most aircraft systems and industrial needs through the application of systems engineering, MBSE, certification abilities etc.
Job Responsibilities:
We are looking for a System Engineer who would be primarily responsible for the Built-In Test Equipment (BITE) function installed on several aircraft systems. We seek who are self-motivated and driven to work with multiple stakeholders. BITE supports the Airbus maintainability concept to minimize unscheduled maintenance time on ground by assisting maintenance operators in better failure isolation. In this role, you would be required to understand BITE and apply or support to apply on several aircraft systems, and work on queries from design offices and suppliers on BITE. You will be considered as one of the main contact points for BITE related topics across Airbus, globally.
