Job summary

CSB Bank seeks a payment systems specialist to analyze requirements, design solutions, and drive enhancements for SFMS-based platforms.

You will coordinate with business, operations, and vendors, manage end-to-end SFMS operations (installation, configuration, upgrades, patching), and monitor queues, message flows, and logs.

The role emphasizes PKI, encryption, RBI/IDRBT security standards, audits, testing, and seamless integration with CBS and other payment channels.

Responsibilities

• Analyze payment system requirements and design solutions.

• Manage SFMS end-to-end operations including updates.
• Monitor SFMS queues, message flows, and logs.
• Troubleshoot messaging, signatures, certificates, and connectivity.
• Integrate SFMS with CBS and other channels.
• Support NEFT, RTGS, and other SFMS services.
• Ensure PKI messaging and encryption security.
• Adhere to RBI/IDRBT security standards.
• Conduct audits, health checks, and vulnerability remediation.
• Maintain certificate lifecycle management.
• Prepare and execute UAT, testing for SFMS changes.
• Liaise with IDRBT, RBI, vendors.

Job description

To analyze payment system requirements, processes, and performance by supporting solution design, system enhancements, integration initiatives, and operational effectiveness of payment platforms.

• Conduct requirement analysis, system assessment, solution design, and execution planning for payment systems.
• Coordinate with business teams, operations teams, internal stakeholders, and vendors to deliver payment technology projects.
• Manage end to end SFMS application operations including installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.
• Perform daily monitoring of SFMS queues, message flows, failures, acknowledgments, and logs.
• Troubleshoot issues related to message transmission, signature validation, certificates, and connectivity.
• Manage integration between SFMS and CBS and other payment channels.
• Support message flows for NEFT, RTGS, RBL, e Bank Guarantee (e-BG), and other SFMS based services.
• Ensure smooth functioning of PKI-based messaging, digital signatures, and encryption.
• Ensure compliance with security standards mandated by RBI/IDRBT.
• Conduct periodic audits, health checks, and vulnerability remediations for SFMS.
• Maintain secure and compliant certificate lifecycle management.
• Prepare and execute UAT, system testing, and regression testing for SFMS changes.
• Liaise with IDRBT, RBI, SFMS product vendors, and other external entities for issue resolution and enhancements.
• Work closely with IT Infra, Networking, Security, and Payment Operations teams.
• Prepare and maintain SOPs, flow diagrams, and process documents.
• Configure, maintain, and support SFMS, SWIFT Alliance Access/Entry, or similar messaging platforms.
• Manage message types (MT, MX/ISO 20022) and routing rules.
• Ensure message validation, formatting, enrichment, and acknowledgements (ACK/NACK).
• Support integration of SFMS with CBS, RTGS, NEFT, treasury, trade finance, AML systems.
