Job summary

Sunrise Biztech Systems Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad seeks a Senior Unix/Linux Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, automate, secure, and support an RHEL-based manufacturing infrastructure.

The role ensures high availability, performance, security, and stability of Linux environments across production, testing, and OSAT operations worldwide. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead patching, automation via Ansible, and ensure compliant, auditable change control while maintaining

Qualifications

• Must have strong experience in RHEL 7/8/9 administration.
• Expertise in Bash/Shell scripting and Ansible automation.
• Experience with Linux patching, lifecycle management, and security hardening.
• L2 production support, incident response, and RCA.
• Knowledge of NFS, NVMe, and Linux storage; VMware virtualization.
• Proficiency in system monitoring and performance troubleshooting.
• Backup and disaster recovery concepts.

Responsibilities

• Administer RHEL 7/8/9 servers across production and non-production.
• Install, configure, patch, and harden Linux OS; manage lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot Linux OS, hardware, apps, storage, and performance.
• Lead quarterly OS/security patching and coordinate maintenance.
• Create change requests, implementation plans, rollback procedures, and validation reports.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for deployment and compliance.
• Manage Linux backup and recovery including validation and DR support.
• Implement Linux security hardening and remediation.
• Administer Falcon Sensor deployments and upgrades.
• Provide L2 production support, incident response, and RCA.
• Collaborate with VMware, Storage, Network, DB, Security, and Apps teams.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Administer RHEL 7/8/9 servers across production and non-production environments.
• Perform Linux OS installation, configuration, patching, kernel updates, hardening, and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot Linux OS, hardware, application, storage, and performance issues.
• Lead quarterly OS/security patching activities and coordinate maintenance windows.
• Create change requests, implementation plans, rollback procedures, and validation reports.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for OS deployment, patching, configuration, and compliance automation.
• Manage Linux backup and recovery activities, including backup validation and disaster recovery support.
• Implement Linux security hardening and support vulnerability remediation and security audits.
• Administer Falcon Sensor deployments and upgrades.
• Provide L2 production support, incident response, troubleshooting, and RCA for critical infrastructure.
