Job summary

Synoriq R&D Private Limited seeks a System Administrator – Security & Compliance in Jaipur to safeguard enterprise IT infrastructure. You will manage SIEM tools, monitor security, and address vulnerability and compliance findings with zero backlog.

The role covers Windows/Linux servers, network devices, VMware/AWS, and 24x7 support. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in system admin, strong security posture experience, and related certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience as a System Engineer, Network Administrator, or Security Administrator.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Wazuh, Splunk, ELK).
• Familiarity with CrowdStrike, SonarQube, Dependency Track, AWS Inspector, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, VLANs, Firewalls).
• Experience with Windows/Linux servers and virtualization technologies.
• Understanding of compliance practices: patching, access control, log retention, CIS benchmarks.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Security Monitoring & Threat Management: Configure and maintain SIEM/log management systems for high-fidelity alerts.
• Investigate and respond to incidents, develop rules and dashboards in Wazuh.
• Ensure integration of infrastructure into SIEM for comprehensive monitoring.
• Vulnerability & Compliance Management: Monitor and remediate CIS Benchmarks, AWS Inspector, and SCA findings with zero backlog.
• Track and close SCRUT findings, perform vulnerability scans and patch management.
• Support ISO 27001, SOC 2, VAPT, and ITIL compliance requirements.
• System & Network Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers and critical apps.
• Manage user access (AD/LDAP) and security permissions.
• Administer firewalls, switches, and routers; manage VMware/Hyper‑V and AWS instances.
• Operations, Backup & Support: Implement and test backups/DR, provide L2/L3 support, rotate shifts for 24x7 coverage.
• Maintain SOPs/runbooks and incident docs; create compliance dashboards.
• Automate tasks with PowerShell, Bash, Python; drive stability and security improvements.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented System Administrator – Security & Compliance to join our IT team in Jaipur. The role demands expertise in managing IT infrastructure, 24x7 monitoring, and ensuring enterprise-grade security and compliance. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of hands-on experience in system administration, with strong exposure to security monitoring, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks.

This role is critical to ensuring system integrity, preventing security breaches, and closing compliance gaps across multiple tools and platforms including Wazuh Alerts, CrowdStrike, SonarQube, Dependency Track, AWS Inspector, CIS Benchmarks, and SCRUT.

What You’ll Do

1. Security Monitoring & Threat Management

Configure, maintain, and optimize the Wazuh Alerts platform (or similar SIEM/log management systems) for high-fidelity alerts.

Continuously monitor 24x7 system and security alerts; investigate and respond to incidents immediately.

Develop custom rules, dashboards, and decoders in Wazuh to strengthen detection and reporting.

Ensure integration of all critical infrastructure, endpoints, and applications into SIEM platforms for comprehensive monitoring.

Manage and monitor CrowdStrike endpoint protection, ensuring zero unresolved detections and timely resolution of all incidents.

2. Vulnerability & Compliance Management

Ensure SonarQube findings (code quality/security issues), Dependency Track vulnerabilities, and AWS Inspector scans are continuously monitored, triaged, and remediated with zero backlog.

Regularly perform and report on CIS Benchmark compliance checks for servers, applications, and cloud environments; ensure alignment with security standards.

Actively track and close all SCRUT platform findings from security and compliance audits, maintaining zero open issues.

Perform periodic vulnerability scans, patch management, and remediation activities across all systems.

Support audit and compliance requirements for ISO 27001, SOC 2, VAPT, and ITIL best practices.

3. System & Network Administration

Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows/Linux) and critical applications.

Manage user accounts, access controls, and security permissions (Active Directory/LDAP).

Administer network devices (firewalls, switches, routers) ensuring secure and resilient connectivity.

Oversee server virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V) and cloud instances (AWS EC2, RDS, etc.).

4. Operations, Backup & Support

Ensure robust backup and disaster recovery processes are implemented and periodically tested.

Provide Level 2/3 technical support for escalated issues across servers, applications, and networks.

Work on rotational shifts to deliver effective 24x7 operational support.

Maintain strong communication and timely resolution of tickets through ITSM tools.

Maintain updated SOPs, runbooks, and incident documentation.

Develop compliance dashboards for tracking security tool findings and closure status.

Automate routine tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).

Recommend and implement improvements for system stability, performance, and security posture.
