Job summary

Gofer seeks an experienced Lead Administrator L1 - Mainframe CICS Admin to join our infrastructure team in Hyderabad or Pune. You will oversee end-to-end administration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting of CICS on IBM System z, ensuring stability and availability of critical workloads.

The role requires strong CICS expertise, proactive incident resolution, and change management, with 24/7 on-call shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of CICS administration experience.
• Hands-on in CICS TS installation, upgrades, maintenance, and FIX packs.
• Experience with zCEE, CICS PA, and vendor products such as CAFC.
• Knowledge of CICS Web Services, CICSplex System Manager, JVM Servers, and Angels.
• Experience with performance monitoring tools: OMEGAMON, CA SYSVIEW, MainView.
• Strong understanding of CICS Architecture including CMAS/MRO and Non-MRO.
• Working knowledge of z/OS JCL and System z communications.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, maintain, and apply FIX packs to CICS TS environments.
• Administer and support zCEE, CICS PA, CICSplex System Manager, JVM Servers, and Angels.
• Monitor CICS performance using OMEGAMON, CA SYSVIEW, and MainView.
• Troubleshoot CICS connections with DataPower, WAS, and Java-based apps.
• Configure and troubleshoot CICS SSL setups and Web Services.
• Manage incidents and changes using ServiceNow or BMC Remedy; support DR processes.
• Provide 24/7 rotational shift and weekend support as required.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Administrator L1 - Mainframe CICS Admin to join our infrastructure team in Hyderabad or Pune. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end administration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting of CICS environments on IBM System z platforms.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, availability, and performance of critical mainframe CICS workloads, supporting enterprise-grade applications and services. This position requires a strong technical background in CICS administration and a proactive approach to incident resolution and change management.

• Administer and support zCEE, CICS PA, CICSplex System Manager, JVM Servers, and Angels
• Monitor CICS performance using tools such as OMEGAMON, CA SYSVIEW, and MainView
• Troubleshoot CICS connections with DataPower, WAS, and Java-based applications
• Configure and troubleshoot CICS SSL setups and Web Services
• Manage incidents and changes using ServiceNow or BMC RemedySupport DR processes and maintain relevant documentation
• Provide 24/7 rotational shift and weekend support as required

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience - 10+ years
• Strong hands-on experience in Mainframe CICS Administration
• Proficiency in CICS Transaction Server installation, upgrades, maintenance, and FIX pack implementation
• Experience with zCEE, CICS PA, and vendor products such as CAFC
• Knowledge of CICS Web Services, CICSplex System Manager, JVM Servers, and Angels
• Hands-on experience with performance monitoring tools: OMEGAMON, CA SYSVIEW, and/or MainView
• Strong understanding of CICS Application Architecture including CMAS/MRO and Non-MRO configurations
• Working knowledge of System z Communications and SNA concepts
• Ability to interpret Assembler output listings
• Experience with CICS SSL setup and troubleshooting
• Experience troubleshooting CICS connections with DataPower, WAS, and Java
• Working knowledge of z/OS JCL
• Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or BMC Remedy for Incident and Change Management
• Exposure to Disaster Recovery (DR) processes and documentation
• Willingness to support 24/7 rotational shifts and weekend on-call requirements
