Job summary

Poornam Info Vision is seeking an Internal System Administrator to support and maintain the IT infrastructure. The role focuses on Linux/Windows server administration, network management, and virtualization with Proxmox/VMware/KVM.

You will manage AD/LDAP, DNS, Nginx/Apache, and MySQL/MariaDB while performing patches and backups. The candidate should have 1–3 years of experience, exposure to virtualization, scripting for automation, and a willingness to learn cloud technologies.

Qualifications

• MCA or MSc Computer Science degree is required.
• 1–3 years of experience in system, server or network administration.
• Exposure to Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (Proxmox/VMware/KVM).
• Basic scripting knowledge for automation.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows servers.
• Support virtualization platforms such as Proxmox, VMware, or KVM.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network devices including firewalls, routers and switches.
• Manage user accounts with Active Directory or LDAP.
• Maintain DNS, DHCP, Nginx/Apache, MySQL/MariaDB and mail servers.
• Perform system updates, security patching and backups.
• Monitor infrastructure health using monitoring tools.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues.
• Maintain technical documentation and change records.
• Ensure IT security policies and best practices are followed.
