Job summary

Suffescom Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled System Administrator to manage Linux, macOS, and Windows environments across our IT infrastructure.

The role emphasizes server management, security, and reliability, with a focus on maintaining uptime and performance across platforms. The ideal candidate has 6–8 years of hands-on experience, strong networking and firewall skills, and familiarity with cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT (or related field) and 6–8 years of experience in a System Administrator role.
• Strong Linux hands-on experience (server and desktop) and solid macOS/Windows administration knowledge.
• Proficient networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and firewall configuration/management.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred.
• Analytical, problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Linux, macOS, and Windows-based systems.
• Install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot servers across physical and virtual environments.
• Oversee network infrastructure including routing, switching, VPN, VLAN, and Wi-Fi access points.
• Implement and manage firewall rules, IDS/IPS, and network security protocols.
• Handle hardware and software troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and servers.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and policies via Active Directory and LDAP.
• Monitor system performance, logs, uptime, and perform capacity planning.
• Collaborate with IT teams to support enterprise applications and services.
• Document system configurations, standard operating procedures, and changes.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support and escalate issues as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintainLinux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL), macOS, and Windows-based systems.
Install, configure, monitor, and troubleshootservers (physical and virtual)across platforms.

Overseenetwork infrastructure, includingrouting, switching, VPN, VLAN, and Wi-Fi access points.

Implement and managefirewall rules, IDS/IPS, and network security protocols.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Problem solving skills for Linux

Strong hands-on experience withLinux (server and desktop).

Solid understanding ofmacOS and Windows OS administration.

In-depth knowledge ofnetworking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).

Experience withfirewall configuration and management.

Familiarity withcloud platformslike AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (preferred but not mandatory).

Strong analytical andproblem-solving skills.
