Job summary

Airbus India Training Centre Private Limited in Gurgaon, Haryana, India, is seeking a Professional Flight Instructor (SFI) for its fixed-term program to train airline crews converting to Airbus aircraft. In this role you will deliver training using simulators, classrooms and FFS, ensuring safe and compliant operations.

You should have 3,000 total flight hours (1,500 on MPA), hold or have held an EASA/DGCA ATPL, and possibly an Airbus type rating.

Qualifications

• 3000 hours total flight time with at least 1500 hours on multi-pilot aircraft (MPA).
• Holder of EASA and/or DGCA ATPL license.
• Type rating on Airbus aircraft is a plus.
• Synthetic Flight Instructor Authorization or experience as Instructor would be a plus.
• Negotiation level of English required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Instruct crews converting to Airbus on operational and technical aspects using training devices and simulators.
• Deliver stand-up lectures to ensure crew capability to perform normal and emergency procedures safely and correctly.
• Adhere to Airbus standard policy and standardization as required by Airbus Flight Training Operations.
• Instruct crews within defined time limits and evaluate their progression.
• Decide on extra sessions to achieve proficiency when needed.
• Instruct using Fixed Base Simulators, Classrooms, Airbus Pilots Training Devices and Full Flight Simulators.
• Deliver other specific courses (ETOPS, performance) if required.
• Participate in course development or standardization instruction.

Job Summary

This position is for the newly formed joint venture company between Airbus Air India. The joint venture company is called Airbus India Training Center (AITC).

Delivering on its commitment to Skill India , Airbus has entered into a 50:50 joint venture with the Tata-owned Air India to launch a world-class pilot training center in Gurugram, Haryana. The JV Training Centre will offer A320 and A350 flight training to some 5,000 new pilots over 10 years.

Airbus India training center (AITC) will be a strategically critical project for both organizations, with an ambition to form a world leading Aviation Academy in South Asia that could positively impact operations and safety standards of both Airbus and Air India operators in the region.

Responsibilities

• You will instruct airline crews converting to Airbus on all operational and technical aspects for a specific type (or types) using:
• Fixed Base Simulators,
• Classroom,
• Airbus Pilots Training Devices
• Full Flight Simulators
• You will give stand-up lectures in order to insure airline crews capability to carry out safely and correctly all normal and emergency procedures required by Airworthiness authorities so that the crew will achieve the required level of standard proficiency.
• You will adhere to Airbus standard policy and standardization as required by Airbus Flight Training Operations.
• You will instruct the crews within the defined time limits.
• You will evaluate the crews progression.
• You will decide, need be, on the necessity to give any extra session to achieve the level of proficiency.
• Task accountabilities : You will be responsible for the following activities:
• Instruct crews using the above mentioned training devices
• Deliver if required (and after being indoctrinated) others specific courses ( ETOPS, performance..)
• Need be, participate in courses development or in standardization instruction.

Requirements

• You have acquired 3000 hours of total flight time as pilot with minimum 1500 flight hours on multi-pilot aircraft (MPA).
• You hold or have held an EASA and/or DGCA ATPL License.
• You have or have held a type rating on Airbus aircraft is a plus.
• A Synthetic Flight Instructor Authorization or experience as Instructor would be a plus.
• Negotiation level of English is required for this position.
