Job summary

Garrett Motion, Pune Division, India, is seeking a Sustainable Procurement Specialist to develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with sustainability goals. You will manage supplier audits, track Scope 3 and emissions, and drive ESG initiatives within procurement.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, data-driven reporting, and training internal stakeholders on sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sustainable procurement policies and procedures.
• Review audit and customer queries in line with procurement processes to draft responses.
• Conduct data gathering and management of sustainable procurement activity.
• Conduct sustainability assessments and audits of suppliers.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in sustainable procurement.
• Coordinate Supplier Town Hall events and training sessions for Procurement functions.
• Create and implement project plans, maintain timelines, monitor completion, and report issues.
• Provide training and support to internal teams and suppliers on sustainable procurement.
• Interpret customer needs and assess requirements.
• Prepare and present reports on sustainability initiatives to senior management.
• Evaluate suppliers based on sustainability practices and performance.

Job Description

In this role, candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable procurement strategies that align with the organization’s goals.

Candidate Will Be Responsible For

• driving various topics related to sustainable procurement (ex- inputs on Procurement section for Corporate Sustainability report & external rating agencencies, drafting responses for Customer questionnaires/ sustainability requirements).
• managing audit queries/regulatory requirements of customers via collecting feedback from suppliers/internal stakeholders and communicating responses within stipulated timeframe to the respective Program Managers.
• managing projects (Annual Supplier's evaluation /Scope 3 study/ Recycling materials)
• monitoring C02 reduction roadmap at suppliers
• defining and executing roadmap for sustainability in Procurement (Scope 3, ESG, ....)

Key Responsbilities :-

• Develop and implement sustainable procurement policies and procedures.
• Review audit & customer queries in accordance with procurement processes to draft appropriate responses.
• Conduct data gathering and management of the sustainable procurement activity.
• Conduct sustainability assessments and audits of suppliers
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to sustainable procurement
• Conduct Supplier Town Hall (prep-> agenda/invites/training decks/Collaboration with IT for webinar set up) & Training sessions for Procurement functions
• Additionally, we are looking for a person who can create and implement project plans, maintain timelines, monitor the completion, and report the issues on time that impact project progress, and coordinate actions.
• Provide training and support to internal teams & suppliers on sustainable procurement.
• Ability to Interpret customer needs and assesses requirements.
• Prepare and present reports on sustainability initiatives and progress to senior management
• Evaluate suppliers based on their sustainability practices and performance.

Skill:-

• Knowledge of sustainable procurement frameworks and standards
• Good communication skills (up to senior levels inside/outside Garrett) and the ability to work in a team environment.x
• Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks effectively with customer focus and responsiveness
• Ability to analyze data and generate reports. Analytical skills

Education :-

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field

Certification in sustainable procurement or a related field is a plus

Expereince :-

• '3 - 6 years relevant experience.
• Experience in procurement, supply chain management, or sustainability.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
