You will lead sustainability programs across facilities, manage energy efficiency and certifications, and collaborate with leadership and external partners to embed sustainable practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or related field; master's preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, or environmental management.
• Experience in real estate, facilities management, or corporate sustainability highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sustainability strategies aligned with corporate goals and industry best practices.
• Lead programs across facilities and operations; coordinate LEED/BREEAM/WELL and energy management systems.

Job Summary

The Sustainability Lead drives environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives across the organization, developing and implementing sustainability strategies that reduce environmental impact while supporting business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Strategy Development Develop and execute comprehensive sustainability strategies aligned with corporate goals and industry best practices. Set measurable targets for carbon reduction, waste management, energy efficiency, and water conservation. Monitor emerging regulations and sustainability trends to ensure organizational preparedness.
• Program Implementation Lead implementation of sustainability programs across facilities and operations. Coordinate green building certifications (LEED, BREEAM, WELL) and energy management systems. Oversee renewable energy procurement, waste reduction initiatives, and circular economy programs.
• Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with leadership, operations teams, and external partners to integrate sustainability into business operations. Engage employees through training, awareness campaigns, and sustainability committees. Build relationships with vendors and suppliers to advance sustainable procurement.
• Reporting and Communications Prepare sustainability reports following GRI, SASB, TCFD, or other recognized frameworks. Track and report ESG metrics to internal and external stakeholders. Communicate sustainability achievements through internal channels, client presentations, and public disclosures.
• Compliance and Risk Management Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and voluntary commitments. Conduct environmental risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies. Stay current on climate-related disclosure requirements and emerging ESG regulations.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or related field; Masters preferred. 5-7 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, or ESG roles. Experience in real estate, facilities management, or corporate sustainability highly valued.

Technical Skills

Deep understanding of sustainability frameworks and rating systems. Proficiency in carbon accounting, energy modeling, and environmental data analysis. Familiarity with ESG reporting standards and disclosure requirements. Project management capabilities for multi-stakeholder initiatives.

Competencies

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences. Ability to influence and drive change across organizational boundaries. Strategic thinking combined with practical implementation skills.
