Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Hyderabad seeks a Sustainability Lead to drive ESG initiatives, develop ambitious sustainability strategies, and balance environmental goals with business needs.

You will lead cross-functional teams across facilities and operations, coordinate certifications (LEED, BREEAM, WELL), oversee renewable energy, and report ESG metrics under GRI/TCFD frameworks. This role is on-site in Hyderabad.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, or ESG roles.
• Experience in real estate, facilities management, or corporate sustainability highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive sustainability strategies aligned with corporate goals and industry best practices.
• Set measurable targets for carbon reduction, waste management, energy efficiency, and water conservation.
• Monitor emerging regulations and sustainability trends to ensure organizational preparedness.
• Lead implementation of sustainability programs across facilities and operations.
• Coordinate green building certifications (LEED, BREEAM, WELL) and energy management systems.
• Oversee renewable energy procurement, waste reduction initiatives, and circular economy programs.
• Collaborate with leadership, operations teams, and external partners to integrate sustainability into business operations.
• Engage employees through training, awareness campaigns, and sustainability committees.
• Build relationships with vendors and suppliers to advance sustainable procurement.
• Prepare sustainability reports following GRI, SASB, TCFD, or other recognized frameworks.
• Track and report ESG metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate sustainability achievements through internal channels, client presentations, and public disclosures.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and voluntary commitments.
• Conduct environmental risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Stay current on climate-related disclosure requirements and emerging ESG regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Development
