Job summary

Zara Home India seeks a Sustainability & Compliance Specialist to support fibre sourcing aligned with the brand's sustainability strategy and to oversee social compliance across manufacturing units in India.

You will work with suppliers to implement corrective actions, monitor labour-law adherence, and ensure CAPs are tracked and closed on time, while communicating effectively in English and Hindi with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in social compliance and supplier audits.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement in English and Hindi.
• Knowledge of labour laws, ethical standards, and brand policies.

Responsibilities

• Manage social compliance across Zara Home manufacturing units in India.
• Monitor adherence to applicable labour laws, ethical standards, and company policies.
• Identify compliance gaps with suppliers and support corrective actions.
• Track and close Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) from supplier audits.
• Ensure audit findings are addressed within required timelines.
• Strengthen supplier compliance performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Build effective relationships with suppliers and manufacturing units.
• Communicate compliance requirements clearly and provide implementation guidance.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support sustainability and compliance objectives.

Job description

Support the Fiber Plan by researching, monitoring, and identifying sustainable fibre alternatives available in India.

Evaluate fibre options aligned with the brand’s sustainability strategy and requirements.

Work with suppliers to communicate brand requirements and provide guidance on compliance expectations.

Support suppliers in implementing initiatives aligned with sustainability and brand objectives.

Social Compliance & Audits:

Manage social compliance across Zara Home manufacturing units in India .

Monitor adherence to applicable labour laws, ethical standards, and company policies.

Work with manufacturing and supplier partners to identify compliance gaps and support corrective actions.

Track and monitor Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) arising from supplier audits.

Ensure audit findings are addressed and closed within the required timelines.

Strengthen supplier compliance performance and support continuous improvement across manufacturing units.

Build effective working relationships with suppliers and manufacturing units.

Communicate compliance requirements clearly and provide guidance on implementation.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support sustainability and compliance objectives.

Maintain confidentiality of company information, audit findings, and related documentation.

Travel & Standards:

Travel across India to supplier and manufacturing units as required.

Ensure adherence to Inditex Code of Conduct and Ethics requirements .

Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills.

Use strong written and verbal English and Hindi communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
