Overview

Job Title: Graduate Sustainability Engineer – Architect.

Employment Type: Full-time

Experience Level: Graduate / Entry-level (1–3 years preferred)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Architectural Graduate with strong experience in parametric building modelling using Rhino and Grasshopper, and a solid foundation in building physics and energy efficiency principles. You will work within a multidisciplinary team on innovative architectural and sustainability-driven projects, supporting design development through advanced digital modelling and performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage 3D architectural models using Rhino and Grasshopper for conceptual and detailed design phases.
• Collaborate with design teams to develop energy assessment models to optimize form, function, and environmental performance.
• Assist in building performance simulations, focusing on thermal comfort, daylighting, shading, and energy efficiency.
• Interpret and apply building physics principles to support passive design strategies and high-performance building outcomes.
• Work closely with team of engineer and architects to integrate building energy performance data into the design process.
• Prepare clear visualizations, diagrams, and technical documentation for internal use and client presentations.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
• Proficiency in Rhinoceros (Rhino) and Grasshopper for 3D modelling and parametric design.
• Working knowledge of building physics, passive design strategies, and energy-efficient design.
• Familiarity with environmental analysis tools such as Ladybug/Honeybee, SketchUp, or IES VE is highly desirable.
• Strong visual communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet project deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Essential)

• Knowledge of scripting (e.g., Python, C#) within Grasshopper for custom tool development.
• Experience with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) or embodied carbon analysis tools.
• Understanding of local energy codes, green building certifications, or net-zero energy standards.
