Job summary

DNV – Maritime Region Southeast Asia, Pacific & India is seeking a Surveyor to join our India Maritime Team. You will be part of a highly regarded group serving major customers in the maritime sector, including shipyards and equipment manufacturers and ships in operation.

The program offers a permanent position with mentoring from top experts, exposure to diverse projects, and learning opportunities through formal training.

Qualifications

• Graduate/Post-graduate in Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–2 years experience in yard design/construction or shipping/technical roles is advantageous.
• Fluent spoken and written English with ability to cross language effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform surveys and audits for maritime customers and vessels.
• Collaborate with shipyards, equipment manufacturers, and operators to ensure compliance and quality.
• Be prepared to travel within India and abroad to client sites as required.

About The Role

DNV – Maritime Region Southeast Asia, Pacific & India is seeking Surveyor to join our India Maritime Team. As a Surveyor you will be a member of a highly qualified team of surveyors and auditors serving various major customers in Maritime industry, including shipyards and material/equipment manufacturers and ships in operation.

We are looking for a talented young graduates to join us. The candidate will be offered a permanent position with DNV India.

The program will offer a broad range of learning opportunities, including mentoring from top experts in their fields. In addition to participating in our formal training programs, you will immediately begin boosting your competence. You will work with experts in exciting projects that aim to solve customer and industry challenges while contributing to making the world a safer, smarter and greener.

Candidate will be posted at different locations in India (Mumbai/Chennai/ Cochin/Mangalore and Kolkata) as per business needs upon completion of the training.

About You

Position Qualifications

• Graduate/Post-graduate qualification, e.g MEng, MSc, or equivalent preferably in Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering/Mechanical Engineering with strong academic results.
• General knowledge on Maritime.
• 1-2 years of experience working in the yard for design/construction and shipping company in technical/engineering will be an advantage.
• Good communication skills with cross language capability, overcoming culture barriers to enhance team performance.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel within India and abroad.
• Interest to work in an international environment.
