Job summary

Surbana Jurong is seeking an experienced Survey Engineer to join its Road and Highway Infrastructure Project team in Papua New Guinea. The role focuses on planning, coordinating, and managing all surveying activities for design, construction, and maintenance of road projects.

The successful candidate will lead field surveys, ensure data quality, and coordinate teams across field operations while adhering to safety and quality standards. Experience with MDB-funded projects is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in civil engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in topography survey and investigations for road projects, preferably MDB-funded.
• Male or female.
• Good communication in English language.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and conduct topographic, engineering, cadastral, and construction surveys for road and highway projects.
• Perform route alignment surveys for roads, highways, bridges, and related infrastructure.
• Process and validate survey data to support engineering design and project planning.
• Coordinate field survey teams, subcontractors, and survey equipment resources.
• Monitor survey quality standards and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

About the Role

The role will support the collection of accurate survey data essential for engineering design, construction control, and project delivery.
