Job summary

Eye-Q Vision Pvt Ltd in Vadodara is seeking a Surgical Coordinator to guide patients through eye surgery journeys. You will coordinate pre-op and post-op protocols, schedule procedures, answer inquiries, and liaise with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and a positive experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgeries and manage the surgical calendar.
• Counsel patients and attendants on diagnosis, procedures, outcomes, risks, and post-operative care.
• Explain surgery packages, pricing, payment options, insurance, and financing schemes.
• Maintain complete, confidential patient records in counselling forms/CRM Software/HIS.
• Coordinate with OT team & supply chain for lenses and surgical supplies.
• Adhere to NABH standards, hospital policies, and applicable legal requirements.
• Coordinate admission, discharge, and follow-up appointments, ensure consent forms and reports are complete.
• Ensure investigation reports and insurance documents are complete and accurately maintained.
• Follow reengagement/second opinion processes to enhance patient conversion.

The Surgical Coordinator will play a vital role in the patient journey, providing comprehensive support and guidance to patients undergoing eye surgical procedures. This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure that all aspects of surgical coordination are executed smoothly. The primary responsibilities include scheduling surgeries, managing patient inquiries, coordinating with medical staff, and ensuring that all pre-operative and post-operative protocols are followed. The Surgical Coordinator will also serve as a counselor, addressing patient concerns and assisting them through the surgical process to ensure a positive experience.

1. Establish a clear understanding of the revenue targets and align efforts to achieve the same in collaboration with the Operations Team
2. Maintain the desired OP to IP Ratio as per assigned targets
3. Counsel patients and their attendants regarding the diagnosis, recommended surgical procedures, treatment options, expected outcomes, risks, benefits, and post-operative care.
4. Explain surgery packages, pricing, payment options, insurance, TPAs, CGHS/ECHS (where applicable), and available financing schemes and ensure surgical/ Procedures booking
5. Ensure complete & accurate patient records in the counselling forms/ CRM Software/ Hospital Information System, as applicable and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
6. Communicate with OT team & Supply chain team to ensure accurate indent and availability of lenses/ surgical supplies.
7. Adhere to NABH standards, hospital policies, and applicable legal requirements
8. Coordinate admission, discharge, and follow-up appointments, ensure all consent forms, investigation reports, insurance documents, and patient records are complete and accurately maintained.
9. Follow the process of reengagement/ second opinion to enhance patient conversion
