Job summary

Bharat Forge India seeks a central planning lead to support US plants from the Global Shared Services team. You will own production, supply, and capacity planning, plus inventory management to ensure on-time production and optimized material availability.

Responsibilities include creating schedules, managing MRP, coordinating with procurement, and leveraging SAP PP/MM to balance demand and capacity across plants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, or operations.
• 3–5 years of experience in production or supply planning or manufacturing operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP PP/MM in a manufacturing environment.

• Create and manage monthly, weekly, and daily production schedules.
• Identify capacity constraints and recovery plans.
• Execute MRP, manage production orders, and ensure material availability.

Job Purpose

Serve as the central planning POC supporting multiple US manufacturing plants from the Global Shared Services team in India. Own production planning, supply planning, capacity planning, and inventory management to ensure on-time production, material availability, and optimized inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities :

Production & Capacity Planning

• Create and manage monthly, weekly, and daily production schedules.
• Identify capacity constraints, bottlenecks, and recovery plans.

Supply Planning & SAP Execution

• Execute MRP, manage production orders, and ensure material availability.
• Balance demand, supply, inventory, and capacity across plants.
• Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to mitigate shortages.
• Hands‑on use of SAP PP/MM transactions.

Inventory & Material Flow

• Manage RM, WIP, and FG inventory levels.
• Monitor inventory coverage, ageing, and material flow to support uninterrupted operations.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with manufacturing, procurement, sourcing, and operations teams.
• Drive planning reviews, risk management, and execution discipline across plants.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations.
• 3-5 years of experience in Production Planning, Supply Planning, or Manufacturing Operations.
• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP PP/MM in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting multi‑plant manufacturing operations preferred.
