Job summary

Alkem MedTech Pvt Ltd is seeking a Logistics and Supply Chain professional to coordinate domestic and international logistics, manage imports/exports, and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery. The role also involves supplier relationship management, inventory planning, and cross-functional coordination with procurement, manufacturing, quality, finance, and commercial teams.

Ideal candidates will have strong Excel and ERP skills, experience in KPI reporting, and exposure to regulated

Roles & Responsibilities:

Logistics Management

• Coordinate domestic and international logistics operations.
• Manage imports, exports, customs documentation, and freight forwarding activities.
• Monitor shipment status and ensure timely delivery of products and materials.
• Collaborate with logistics service providers to optimize transportation performance and costs.
• Resolve logistics-related issues to minimize disruptions to business operations.

Supplier Management

• Manage relationships with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Monitor supplier performance against quality, delivery, and service expectations.
• Support supplier evaluation, onboarding, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate purchase orders and ensure timely supplier commitments.
• Work closely with suppliers to mitigate supply risks and ensure continuity.

Inventory & Supply Planning

• Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock availability.
• Support demand planning and replenishment activities.
• Analyze inventory trends and recommend actions to optimize stock levels.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support inventory accuracy and availability.
• Minimize stock shortages and excess inventory.

Operational Coordination

• Collaborate with Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Commercial teams.
• Track key supply chain KPIs and prepare management reports.
• Support new product introductions and supply chain readiness activities.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate supply chain records and documentation.
• Support audits and supplier qualification activities as required.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and supply chain procedures.

Skills & Qualifications:

Mandatory

• Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
• Experience in supplier relationship and performance management.
• Knowledge of inventory planning and order fulfillment processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.

Preferred

• Experience with SAP or other ERP platforms.
