Job summary

As a Supply Chain Management Intern, you will map supplier capabilities, coordinate RFQs, and onboard Indian manufacturing partners, supporting estimations with drawings and technical details.

Daily you will make 20–30 supplier calls, qualify capacity, track timelines, and log all contacts and quotes in our system.

Qualifications

• Must have pursuing or completed degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Industrial Engineering or MBA Operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or MBA Operations is preferred.
• High proficiency in reading engineering drawings and basic manufacturing specs.

Job Title: Supply Chain Management Intern (SCM & Sourcing)

We take products from development to serial production — NPD, contract manufacturing and second-source programs — through a network of 33 committed manufacturing partners selected from over 900 qualified Indian suppliers, serving customers across 19 export markets. Our focus segments: energy, power electronics, EV charging and precision manufacturing.

The Role: You expand and manage our ecosystem. Your job is to convert our raw supplier databases and active Requests for Quotes (RFQs) into clear, competitive engineering estimations and onboarded manufacturing partners. You do not finalize final pricing or handle logistics; you find the right supplier capacity, deliver technical requirements, track the estimation timeline, and ensure data entry accuracy.

What you'll do daily: Supplier Mapping & Outreach: 20-30 daily calls into potential and active Indian manufacturing partners (lists/databases provided).Technical Lead Qualification: Connect with supplier floor heads/proprietors to qualify their production capabilities, machinery availability, and current open capacity.

RFQ Coordination: Deliver manufacturing drawings and technical details to partners, ensuring they understand the execution scope. Timeline Follow-ups: Secure timely submission of raw quotes and engineering estimations via rigorous phone and WhatsApp follow-ups.

Data Hygiene: Log every supplier contact, machinery profile, capability, and quotation status in our system — no exceptions.

Weekly Status Review: Meet weekly with management to review active RFQ pipelines and vendor onboarding targets.Targets:100+ supplier dials/week and 20+ partner capability profiles updated/week and 5-10 active RFQs successfully coordinated through the estimation pipeline per month.

Must have:

Educational Background: Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Industrial Engineering (or an MBA in Supply Chain/Operations).

Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings, CAD files, or technical manufacturing specifications. Fluent English + Tamil: Fluent Tamil is mandatory to coordinate effectively with regional manufacturing clusters; Hindi or Kannada is strongly preferred.

System Discipline: Highly organized mindset to track and log multi-part supplier quotes without being chased.

Phone Stamina & Persistence: Strong follow-up skills and a thick skin to chase down traditional manufacturing units for quotes.

Good to have: Exposure to manufacturing processes (CNC machining, casting, sheet metal, or fabrication); basic familiarity with advanced MS Excel or digital sourcing tools.
