Job summary

Lam Research in Bangalore invites a Supply Chain Business Manager to lead a portfolio of strategic suppliers and drive supply assurance across Asia regional requirements. The role focuses on data-driven planning, scheduling, and monitoring of material movement through a dynamic global production cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years related experience; or Master’s degree with 6+ years; or PhD with 3+ years experience; or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as the single point of contact with suppliers for allocated and constrained parts.
• Identify and manage high-risk supply situations, provide accurate supply visibility, and support allocation decisions for critical material shortages.
• Lead supplier recovery efforts and coordinate with Commodity Managers, Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, and Operations to restore supply continuity.
• Develop and maintain Supply vs. Demand (SVD) analysis, monitor supplier commitments, and drive execution against business requirements.
• Lead supplier review, allocation, and playbook meetings, including escalation management for critical shortages and machine-down situations.
• Drive sourcing and risk-mitigation strategies, including alternate-source qualification and supplier development activities.
• Partner with Strategic Commodity Managers (SCMs), Supplier Engineering, Product Groups, and Purchasing teams to ensure supply continuity and operational performance.

Your data-driven approach ensures effective planning, scheduling, and monitoring material movement through our dynamic global production cycle. You’ll benchmark and monitor supplier performance to manage risk. By driving continuous supplier process improvements you support the productivity and efficiency of Lam's operations.

Key Responsibilities of a Supply Chain Business Manager (SBM)

• Act as the single point of contact with suppliers for allocated and constrained parts. All supplier prioritisation, build quantity, ship date, and recovery communications are coordinated through the SBM.
• Identify and manage high-risk supply situations, provide accurate supply visibility, and support allocation decisions for critical material shortages.
• Lead supplier recovery efforts and coordinate with Commodity Managers, Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, and Operations to restore supply continuity.
