Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a Production & Demand Planner in India to manage supply chain planning within our FMCG environment. The role involves creating weekly production plans, coordinating with Production and Commercial teams, and ensuring timely launches of new products while managing inventory and SLOB levels.

The ideal candidate has an MBA or bachelor's in supply chain and 5+ years of broad-based supply chain experience, with strong analytical and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer Service & Inventory level (SLOB) are met and maintained.
• Prepare weekly production plans and participate in daily progress meetings with Production.
• Ensure production trials and NPD launches start and are completed on schedule; manage discontinuations.
• Maintain up-to-date schedules and rebalance to minimize changeover and meet customer requirements.
• Use capacity reports to ensure production efficiency and communicate with stakeholders on production dates, material shortages, and capacity issues.
• Coordinate with Commercial & Plant teams for changes and align demand with historical forecasts.

Description / Responsibilities

Ensure customer Service & Inventory level (SLOB management) are met and maintained.

Prepare weekly production plans and participate in daily progress meetings with Production.

Ensure production trial, new product (NPD) can start and launch with the timeline and discontinued are carried out effectively.

Maintain up to date schedule, adjust and re-balance if needed to minimize change over and meet customer requirement.

Utilize capacity report to ensure production efficiency are met

Communicate with internal stakeholders on production dates, inventory levels, raw material shortages, OT, weekend production, capacity issues.

Validate with material planner, materials requirements before production plan schedule.

Co-operate with the employer to implement health and safety initiatives to comply with the OH&S Act and regulations.

Lead Demand & Supply Meeting by monthly basis to get the consensus on both side and all aligned.

Challenge the existing and implement improvements to Demand and Supply Planning process and validation of demand from commercial based on historical trends (forecast accuracy) to deliver tangible benefits.

Coordinate with Commercial & Plant team for any change may needed to adjust.

Qualifications & Experience

MBA / Bachelors in Supply Chain

5+ years experience in broad-based supply chain - Production & Demand Planner preferably in a FMCG environment.
